The PS Vita is now regularly outselling the PS3 in Japan.

This is good news for the Vita. I think the Vita will make a slow but sure recovery everywhere else.

Well, the Japanese are turning to handheld gaming, so it's not very surprising.

Its been doing this since price cut... At least 95% of the time. Vita needs tat price cut WW with GAMESSSSSSSSS :-/

In Japan its now doing decent numbers, the West has nothing going for it tho.

Little early to call it the best handheld ever as well with the 3DS kicking its can everywhere.

In Japan, handhelds normally sell more than consoles, so it's not a big surprise, altough I never thought Vita would be selling so much better than the PS3 with less games being released on it. It just happens to show us how the old consoles aren't as interesting anymore as they were a few years ago.

It was always pretty much guaranteed a comfy future in Japan (although not as comfy as they would have liked with MH4 missing).

Getting sales up in the West is going to be one hell of a mission though. I hope the Japanese titles continue to get localised.

That's quite interesting but its not that significant considering the PS3 is so old now. Still its good news. Hopefully Sony could help push more units of the Vita if they promote the remote play feature on the Vita for the PS4, cause that's really the only thing that could help the Vita.

Handhelds are dominant and PS3 is 7 years old now. I would hope Vita is outselling it a year and a half into its life. PS3 needs a price cut everywhere by the time PS4 comes to get to about half the PS4's price.
