The Joys of growing up and finding out about the lies your parents told you about both Characters envolved with Dec 25th? :D One set of lies for kids, one for adults.

Edit - re-reading that sounds a bit harsh I don't mean to quash anyone on heres personal views, I feel I don't know just as much as someone who believes in whatever they like! I just choose the option which doesn't cost me an hour on Sundays each week :)

Did you watch the video?

Why do people not know how to listen to what people say instead of try to get what they want hear from something.

He was saying if you kill people in games you lose touch with human side of you which can pull you away from God.

He didn't in anyway form say, "killing in video games is the same as real life killings." How about we all stop to think a bit in ours lives and rushing to conclusions because it is easy.

Anyway that's his opinion that killing in games can cause disconnection. Move on and stop overreacting.

I watched the same amount of the video as he has done played games and feel entitled to comment on it as such, just as he does the latter.

How does this comment relate to mine?

Playing video games or not doesn't mean you can't make opinion on your feelings of killing in video games in the sense of losing disconnection with killing. That just an opinion. But making a comment on what someone said without reading it, is just plain lazy and dishonest opinion.

So if I fly in the game I am doing it also in Real Life?

If you fly in a video game and enjoy it, it means you probably would want to do it in real life if you could. He thinks the same applies to killing people in video games.

I enjoy flying in a videogame, however, I'd never do it in real life. I'm very afraid of heights.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Agreed. I'm not sure why the thread title so clearly mis-represents what was actually said. He was making a point on how he thought that, for Christians, playing very violent games can interfere with their spiritual life and well-being. For anyone who's not a Christian, this doesn't even apply to you, so move along.

I personally can't play some violent video games where the killing is just for the sake of killing (GTA, for example, I just can't get into it). I think there are some games that are more towards the sadistic side, and those just make my stomach turn. I have no problem playing COD and many other games, but some games do go a bit overboard for my taste.
