Forums - Gaming Discussion - Pat Robertson Says Killing In Video Games Is as Bad as Killing in Real Life

So?

Can't believe people listen to this guy!
I want whatever he's on!
I agree 100%
WTF is wrong with this guy.
Hahahahahhaha
What the Hell...
Ok then....
Loony
hmmm
Someone is off their meds.

Wow, I can't believe anyone would take this dude seriously at all. lol glad to know I'm up there with Stalin and Hitler.

"Your spirit is what God is concerned about and what is your spirit active in. Jesus said if you look on a woman with the thoughts of lust in your heart, you have committed adultery with her. So that's a virtual sin, if you have all those games, I've never played a video game. I hate to tell you that. It shows my age, maybe. Have you ever played a video game? Shooting and maim, killing, grand theft auto, some of those, they get pretty bizarre. So if you're a murdering somebody in cyber space, in a sense your performing the act. Whether you like it or not. Here's the danger with this stuff. It has to do with Television, books, everything. You lose your sensitivity to God, and if you're keen to the lord, you're in prayer, your spirit is in tune to him, you're seeing miracles in your life, you listen to the voice of God. That stuff will chop off your access and you will go dead in your heart. That's the danger of all of this. That's the danger, that's what you have to remember, that it doesn't send you to hell or anything. You just miss out on all the precious presence of God that he wants to give to those that love him and that's the whole deal."

Except that in a video game the consciousness of another human being is not robbed from them. I find it hilarious that an old man who has probably never played a video game is commenting on them.

kill that mother fucker if it's the same as video games you can just bribe the cops when they come to get you or spend a couple days in jail with all your gear missing when you get out

In the vid, he mentions he hasn't. If you look up some of his other stuff, he obviously isn't in his right mind.

I think stuff like this is really sad. It just reminds me how ignorant people can be. He shouldn't talk negatively about things he has no experience with. It's kinda like a less offensive racism, I suppose. I'm guessing in his childhood he only played Doctor and nothing else.
If killing someone in video games is just as bad as in real life, then is saving someone in video games just as good as in real life?

What if cyber-molest the corpse after the act? Where do I stand?

All your Yuna are belong to miz1q2w3e :3

If you have never played a video game then don't comment on it. And also if killing in video games is so bad, then i want him to comment on an actual war or massacre. The two don't compare. It wouldn't surprise me if he supported war as well. I never understand it, if Christians (and probably those from other religions) think killing is so bad, why does war keep happening? He is just an old fool who somehow gets airtime.

And finally, only one game didn't seem to like you killing things. Spec Ops the Line.

PS3, Vita, 3DS and Wii U.

PS4 eventually.

That's not what this guy is talking about. If you actually watch the video he has his own belief that if you kill in a video game then your losing your touch with god. If you think about a woman with lust then you have just committed adultery according this guy but of course he doesn't mean you actually did it it's just that god is in touch with you inside your head so if your committing these things in your head then its just as bad as real life.

I was able to understand it and I'm an athiest. He's just simply putting his belief out there.

So if I fly in the game I am doing it also in Real Life?

Hooray for people who respond to a video that they didn't even watch.
