Forums - General Discussion - Clinton vs. Obama: Who's gonna win?

They're virtually tied.

Obama seems to have all the momentum, and is ahead in campaign money by some 10-20 million.

A number of caucas states coming up, playing to Obama's strength.  The Chesapeake primaries after that, which again favors Obama.

After that, it's Wisconsin, Texas and Ohio.  Wisconsin and Texas plays more to Clinton's strength.  It might well come down to Ohio.

Who's goona win?

I support Clinton, but with Obama's growing war chest, and his growing popularity, it appears Obama will win.

If Obama wins, we will have a Democratic president almost for sure.  That is what I'm ultimately hoping for in any case.

Wisconsin is Obama-favored, actually. He's won every Midwestern state so far (except Michigan, where he wasn't on the ballot).

I wrote out my thoughts in the Super Tuesday thread, but suffice to say that the momentum, money, and calendar all favor Obama. Of the remaining states, only the three remaining New England states and Pensylvania clearly favor Clinton.

I hope Obama will win but I think Clinton will.  The only problem I have with Obama is he's really far left.  Close to socialism if he isn't a socialist already.  And I'm not insinuating that socialism is bad, but me bein a libertarian you can see where I might have a few conflictions.

WSJ Political Market currently gives:

56% Obama, 44% Hillary.

I kinda think Obama is going to win the popular vote. Then get screwed by the establishment Super Delegates that are about 20% of the vote.

Zucas, there is no significant difference between Clinton and Obama on economics.

I agree with Kasz. I think the superdelegates will put Clinton in the front. Washington doesn't want change, or anybody that will even put an iota of effort into change, even if the people do want change.
