Am i the only one who doesn't see the problem here?

I never even knew the 360 had such a thing until this thread.

Neither did I. I always assumed that you got access for everyone with one LIVE payment. Why was this never mentioned when comparing PSN to LIVE to judge their value?

The PS5 Exists.

Does this work the same when you have multiple One's in the house?

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

No Sir. Lately it seems that some forum contributors are handing their brains over a second party before they jump on their keybords to types N4Gesque posts

http://www.polygon.com/2013/3/8/4080592/microsoft-discontinues-xbox-live-gold-family-pack They announced this back in March.

It's just that simple.

This is so weird for me. I'm not saying it's good or bad, just that it's a strange thing to hear. When I worked with Microsoft, it was all about the Family plan. Someone having a problem with General Hardware Failure ("Red Ring of Death" is taboo)? Suggest a Family plan. Someone just got "hacked"? Suggest a Family plan. You're actually speaking with the social engineer responsible? Sign them up for a Family plan!

That's Microsoft, though. They got full steam ahead with one thing, then suddenly they've changed all the verbiage and are launching new policies and systems. I remember that we were all using "Windows Live ID" when I read elsewhere that, hey, it's Microsoft Account now. Maybe send out a memo?

"Note Microsoft account is the new name for what used to be called Windows Live ID. These two names mean the same thing. The name change from Windows Live ID to Microsoft account doesn't affect the information or the services you use. For example, your Xbox LIVE account sign-in name and password haven't changed, but you'll be asked for your Microsoft account in places where you used to be asked for your Windows Live ID.

On some Microsoft services or websites, such as Xbox 360, you may still see Windows Live ID used instead of Microsoft account. These services and websites will be updated soon to reflect the change from Windows Live ID to Microsoft account."

Mmmhm.

You guys are seeing it only from an XBox One perspective. Home Gold is a touted feature of the Xbox One. Current users of the Family Plan will now need to pay for each account individually if they choose not to upgrade to the One. My family plan, for example, expires in 2 months and we have 4 accounts. Come 5 months from now, we will need to renew 4 accounts seperately since we have no plans to upgrade.

Most current gen console owners will not be upgrading to next gen consoles soon, unless you believe the X1 is going to have 35+ million sales within the first year.

It's not a "CURSE YOU MICROSOFT AND YOUR SPAWN!" moment, but it still sucks as we will now be paying more for the same.

Weren't people using Family Packs to get a discount in a friend group?
