It isn't a "standard" dedicated server in a couple of important aspects.

#1, it scales back and forth automatically thanks to MS. They need more servers, Azure fires more up. They need less, it doesn't. There is far less overhead and effort needing to be put in place here by Respawn, placing server farms all over the world.

#2, the cost. MS made it cheaper than any other option Respawn had.

So yeah, DeadBigFoot is entirely correct in assuming a Titanfall PS4 port minus the MS cloudy goodness would not be as good. It would be using your "standard dedicated server", which probably means EA's servers, which likely means garbage. It also means that in 2-4 years the game could become a $60 coaster since both EA and Sony have been shutting down dedicated server games lately.

Thankfully you can also buy the PC version and get the same MS cloudy goodness.

lol The Infinite Power of the Cloud.

Azure are standard servers too... a big cluster but they are nothing different from other small clusters.

Cloud is a markeing word because that already exists even before the Internet lol

Idk, it's a tough choice but I'm going to side with Respawn (you know, the guys actually making the game) and common sense over the guy who is going to downplay anything MS no matter what.

Fine lol.

The game will run equal in every plataform... PC, 360 and Xbone... quote me latter.

Maybe not. Respawn isn't developing all 3 versions. And no one said anything about the MS versions, it's the non-MS cloudy goodness ports I would be worried about.

lol seems like The Power of the Cloud is exclusive to MS... even Azure can be used by anybody.

And a dedicated cluster of server to the same job... and even better because the server are specifics for that job and not to all jobs like in Cloud ;).

This is where I refer you to the first time I quoted and corrected you. Seems you are still not understanding it.

I.. don't understand the English in the 2nd part but I will assume it is as wrong as the first.

Anyway this is not the thread for an education on MS cloudy goodness. I tried. Toodles.

Dead Rising 3,Minecraft,Titanfall,Crimson Dragon and PvZ:GW are the most likely to be going Multiplat.

DR3 is published by MSFT.  From what the developers has said it isnt even possible without the X1.
Crimson Dragon is a 2nd party game.  Owned by MSFT.

Good as long as Ryse,Sunset Overdrive and DR3 don't go im fine with that.

Yeah I know. Who to believe. Respawn or ethomas? The guy who reads things on gaf and then comes here and posts like he knows about all the technical stuff.

Read my comments in GAF first to you know who is the technical guy there... I'm sharing my knowledge with GAF

And Respawn didn't say anything different from what I said lol.

The only thing you have said that Respawn also said is that the cloud is a marketing word that can mean different things.

Respawn has also said that the scalability, ease of rolling out updates, and price are all things that MS's cloud dedicated server setup does that beats your "standard dedicated server". Consider this lesson extra credit. I hope you finally understand and helps you to stop spreading FUD.

Except it will give PS4 owners the game...

You see, PS4 doesn't need those games but some PS4 owners might want them.

Meanwhile, I'll just get most of them on PC since I'm hardcore like that.

It gives them something to brag about on list-wars for exclusives. That is all.

List wars...you mean the same thing Xbox fanatics were pulling off...thinking the measly amount of exclusives they showed at E3 was all they had to offer?

Yeah... these freaking Xbox fanatics... !!! ALL THEY DO IS LIST WARZZZ!!!
