I'm surprised split screen isn't behind a paywall. Everything else is.

Just leave it as your opinion. Xbox Live has nothing on PSN now except for the fact that its endeavors make it want to be the main TV tuner as well. PSN now has cross chat and all the bells and whistles that matter including a comprehensive sharing program and longer recording time for multiplayer than Xbox Live. Fifteen minutes can record two different sets of maps that are played where as Xbox Lives recording timer can barely record one.

Because the 360 doesnt have auto updates, it only updates when you specifically load the game, it doesnt turn on during the night and get your stuff up to date for you. 

And your right no one would pay gold for skype, so why put it behind the pay wall, its not behind a pay wall on any none MS hardware which is strange as skype is a MS product. 

Why put game recording behind live, when its a hardware feature, its all very strange, without gold you basically get PS2 with better graphics. 

The reason these things are behind gold is because they struggle to justify the charge, they dont want to do games for gold permenantly cos it will destroy there profits. Problem is people arent stupid and more and more you see people looking at whats behind gold and asking why.

Yes they should be looking to add more features to Gold, but not things that dont make sence like Skype and Netflix.

For recording it certianly wont, for uploading it would if you choose not to use twitch. If they want to put uploading to yoru cloud space behind Gold absolutley fair enough. But restricted hardware features and the use of 3rd party video sites like Twitch. Just rediculous. 

But it probably wont matter, as its a hardware feature there blocking, theres a chance the modders-hackers will un block it. 

I think this is a stupid feature for both systems...And I dread thinking about how many of these $h1ty game clips will flood the already overcrowded with stupid $h1t face book posts...This may force me to close my face book account once and for all....

Microsoft has one single problem: The consumer has a choice. There is a contender offering Netflix, Browsing Recording and all that stuff free of charge, on a console that is 100 $ cheaper. So if you have that option, why would you go for an Xbox One, if any of those features are of interest for you?

Sure, there are lots of people who will get live anyway, but those are not affected, just as PlayStation only gamers. But Microsoft really needs some selling points. They fucked up more than enough with Xbox One by now, putting features behind a paywall that are free on the competitor's platform won't do any good. And on top of that, it's 5 minutes with paywall vs 15 minutes for free. It really looks bad in comparison. It's like Microsoft thinks the Xbox will sell no matter what. But by now, I think they are in a really bad position.

I just checked at my local retailer yesterday and guess what: The PS4 is sold out completely.



See that empty spot just next to the Xbox One pre-order cards? Yeah, that's where the PS4 cards used to be. Nothing left there but still PLENTY of Xbox One. Sure, germany is Sony Land, but still, Microsoft really need to impress the consumer by now. They don't by clocking the GPU at 853 MHz. And news like that also won't help for sure. As the hardware is pretty much fixed, it's the services where Microsoft can still outshine the competition. so they really should go for that and not put features behind a paywall that are free basically everywhere else. I mean, paying a monthly fee just to use an internet browser? Seriously? Remember the outrage when Opera on Wii was sold for 5 bucks? And that was only a one time fee! It's beyond ridiculous if you ask me.

There are features that are completely fine paying for. But just putting everything into Gold just because "everybody has it anyways" isn't a very good argument. You won't convince anybody to got to Xbox instead of PlayStation that way. Things like that only make Sony look better. As a company, you don't want that to happen. Even if just some nerds on teh internetz read such news. It will spread.

what's the big deal folks...just get whatever you can...ps4 or the one!
