I made a mistake... I checked the MS documents and the loss for the division was $110m and not $253...  now I'm sure there are Xbone R&D added because the revenue increased a lot ($134 million) primarily due to higher Windows Phone revenue... even so they posted loss.

I'm looking for the R&D values... in previous quarters (Q2 FY2013 I guess) they said that:

"Microsoft’s financials that revealed that research and development expenses have hit $98 million last quarter. It appears that Microsoft’s putting things into high gear as its most likely ramping up to unveil its Xbox 720 later this year."

This last quarter they just showed the overall R&D for the company... $2.78 billion... up from $2.59 billion from the same quarter last year.

I need to find better docs on MS site.

1.6M per day /$400 = 4000 ps4 manufactured / day

400 ps4 per day * ~91 days per quarter = 364,000 ps4 manufactured last quater.

Seriously, you cannot manufacture goods and not acoount them for in innventory. This loss has NOTHING to do whether PS4s were manufactured or not. (Companies have been caught cooking up their numbers by manufacturing $50 gadgets and assign a $500 value into the company's inventory - numbers are random just to demonstrate the illegal trick).

Well, yes they could, maybe... depends on how many buildings they have left? Or they could just fire lots of people, then they won't need as many buildings, anyway.

Didn't Sony already fire 10'000 people already, I say drop the weakest division that's making Sony losing money, which I heard was their TVs.

Yeah, loses are because PS4. But how much units or time will it need to return to profit again? Are they going to get profit from the first sold console with the current announced price, just like the Wii the last gen?
