sony users should know my preferences, but its generally just really really good games. hopefully fire emlem is an appropriate example of my taste.lets see what you got.

You have to get Shin Megami Tensei IV. The Club Nintendo deal is going on until the end of August. If you register your 3DS XL and Fire Emblem and SMTIV before then, you will get a code for $30 on the eShop. I am assuming by your profile that you indeed live in the United States... so it should work.

but of course, that is if you like difficult JRPG's (turn-based) and don't mind the 1st-person battles. It has many hours of gameplay content.

Etrian Odyssey 4. It's really really good with countless hours of game play. I can't recommend it enough if you like dungeon crawler RPGs.

Aside from that all of the obvious games are good, like Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario 3D Land, RE: Revelations, LoZ: OoT, etc.

Ugh... what's with all these people getting consoles recently?! (In reality, it was only two threads...)

Anyhow, since I think you like RPG's, I would recommend pre-ordering Pokemon X/Y and buying SMT IV, Tales of the Abyss, and maybe even Etrian Odyssey games. (Did they come out in NA yet?)

If you like Mario (which you should) then buy every Mario game on the 3DS. Many of them are really quite good.

Kid Icarus: Uprising. Still my favorite 3DS game. Try to give it a test run first to make sure you're not allergic to the control scheme, but if it feels do-able, I can't recommend it highly enough.

Bravely Default if you're looking for a SE game that's not a port.

I heard it's pretty much FF9 with jobs.

So you like RPGs and really good games? Then stay away from Paper Mario Sticker Star at all cost!

Not sure if you play Kingdom Hearts, if so buy KH3D its a really good game.
Kid Icarus is awesome... as long as the control scheme isnt breaking your wrist
