In about a month's time, the Wii U's library will be (I'm counting multi-plats that aren't overly late or feature gimped):

New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, Zombi U, Game & Wario, LEGO City Undercover, Scribblenauts U, Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed, Rayman Legends, Monster Hunter 3G, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Splinter Cell Blacklist, Assassin's Creed 3, plus some decent Virtual Console stuff like Earthbound, Punch-Out!, and Megaman X (though still not enough, hoping Final Fantasy VI hits soon in the West). 

I consider the system "launched" at least, unless you were expecting a new Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Mario Kart, etc. all in the first 9 months, which is unreasonable. 

I think that tag will stay until at least mid next year, but they should do better this holiday season if they have a price drop all of a sudden, though you can already find basic ones for 200 bucks apparently.

I think people will say that for a while, even if it does get games.

Not until Mario Kart 8 arrives in 2014 or one of the games on it becomes a massive hit and legitimate system seller.

Right now, even with the remaining 2013 line up, the system is going to be a tough sell for non-Nintendo fans.

I don't get this post considering I don't agree with people wanting every single game right right away. Even though it's close to impossible.

Yet none of them are enough to justify a 350 dollar purchase.

It's a difference of getting Pikmin, W101, WiiFit U and DKC instead of Mario Kart from Nintendo this year.

I really wish Mario Kart's and 3D World's release dates were switched since we already have a Mario platformer (albeit a different one) on the console.
