PS4 has a chance depending on the amount of quality games that comes out after launch but the 500$ of the xbox one will really hurt it plus the name won't help either 

No. The PS4 has 4 bundles that are in the Top 100 selling game items on Amazon.

Preorder mean nothing for long term. Look at Wii U, gamestop had "waitig preorder lists" then when we saw the sales it was a different story.

ON TOPIC - too early to tell, i hope not though because that would indicate a gaing crash, or economy still nto recovered for peopel to pick up the consoles at those prices..

There are no big-selling exclusives announced for PS4 at launch. PS4 will be a Vita-scenario. Huge hype on the internet =/= good sales. Only the first week will be good, like all consoles do in their first week.

Xbox One  has Forza, Killer Instict and Ryse which are more unique titles. Still, Forza is the only one that can boost XOne sales since KI and Ryse are new IP's to Xbox gamers.

Last I checked Amazon didn't carry Nintendo consoles.  Unless that changed?

Before launch Wii U was sold out everywhere. The dedicated fans pre-order and that's why sales of almost all consoles/handhelds are strong in the first 2/3 weeks. After that it is up to the company to get the wider audience.

U cant really base long tern sales off of launch sales. Dreamcast, Gamecube and Xbox all had excellent launch sales and none of them reached 25 million.

I sure hope so. Not because I hate Sony or Microsoft, but because the industry needs to crash. Seriously, when a game that sells 6 million isn't enough to turn profit there is something terribly wrong.

It would be better though if the industry managed to find out on their own though, so that we don't need the crash, but I don't think they will.

right now games dont play a big role..PS4 and XOX are more defined then Wii U and that is what will sell them.
