Forums - Nintendo Discussion - NOW will nintendo drop the price of the wii u?

I mean damn, they should have done this by now. With its sluggish sales  can you please do it?

Not much point in doing it now that games are coming.

No, probably not. They've been pretty adamant on that point, and even if they were willing to take the hit to their prestige, they maybe couldn't afford to at this point..

I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

I was thinking the would hold out this year and do it next spring when Mario Kart 8 releases but I wouldnt be surprised if they sprung one on us to go along with Pikmin 3.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

It needs games more than it needs a price cut. And they will come eventually

Unless software gets here, they won't I expect them to either drop by MK8 if Iwata's stupid,

Or with WWHD if they're smart. Kinda bummed at my WiiU right now. At least 3DS will keep me busy for years to come.

Kinda, sorta I'm thinking. They're still making an operating loss, which is troubling and probably indicates they're not in the mood to make a massive price cut.

$299.99 Wii U (32GB standard white or black) w/Nintendo Land + Zelda: Wind Waker HD pre-installed starting in October is what I'm guessing.

But WWHD is Oct.

Though you're right about this. Current WiiU owners bought it off the promises of E3 2012 which were Pikmin 3, P-100 and launch. They'll hold off cutting the price before then.

One thing to note is SEGA. If SEGA didn't know that it was getting cut around that time, would they have really made Lost World an exclusive?

They would probably have revealed that today if that were the case, so they probably won't.

With them not changing their forecast, I believe they must have one coming. Maybe this year, with Wind Waker or more likely around the same time the other systems launch.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
