Does the PC sales number include digital sales from Steam and Amazon?  Who buys physical disc for the PC these days?

seeing as its available digitally on all platforms I wouldnt be surprised if it has over 1 million digital sales (especially PC digital sales).

i would say VGchartz has it pretty close to being tracked accurately. maybe around 3.5 million sales when including digital, and .6 million on selves between the ps3, xbox and pc

Generally speaking PC sales are around 10 times peak (this was used at comparing announced PC sales of various games FM to the peak). The peak was 62K so very very roughly it would be around 620K first month. But this number could be off now.

But VGChartz lowballs things, or the shipped vs sold argument. Last of Us, This game, and Tomb Raider all have much more announced sales than VGC gives them. Maybe it's digital, maybe VGC is wrong, maybe something else.

Personally, I think the game was terrible. Sad that such rubbish games sell so well just because of their name and media bull giving them high scores, while less recognised but better games go unnoticed and under appreciated.

8.5 on Metacritic from approximately 6200 users.

Hipster.

I absolutely love this game. Deserves much better sales but 4m is pretty good all the same.

It was THAT terrible? I think the game was really awesome and I personally dislike FPS! What did you find bad about the game?

I think:

1)      The story was terrible and all over the dam place, dabbling in religion, racism, American history, kidnapping, and lord knows what else. And then in the end come to find out, it wasn’t really about any of that.

2)      The gameplay was terrible and was just blast anything that moved. They took away all the cool gameplay from the previous games like using certain gun or bullets on certain enemies to just grab any gun and blast what’s in front of you. Most of the vigors were useless as all you really needed was one or two. Hacking, from the previous games, forget that.

3)      Enemy AI, was horrid. They just ran right up to your face every time. Plus they lacked personality, were completely forgetable and were nothing like the Splicers from the previous games.

4)      Songbird, WTF! You never got a chance to fight the thing?

5)      Level design was terrible, and everything looked the same. The only stage that stood out was near the end when you had to go find Comstock.

6)      The ending reveal was terrible as well. No I didn’t see it coming, but that’s because it had absolutely nothing to do with the story elements that preceded it.

7)      Etc, etc, etc.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

the BioShock franchise is brainchild of cultural Marxism at its finest, nothing more.

The PC digital sales are more likely higher than the retail sales.

Also just bought Clash in the Clouds and I have to say I have no idea why this or the same mode with maps from the campaign wasn't part of the game at launch.

Deserved. Gameplay was bad though.
