These games absolutely should have been delayed and ported to Wii U. The Last Story would have been perfect as a Wii U launch title with another year of HD polish. It could have been hyped as the new Final Fantasy and hit a different market than the other exclusive launch titles. Pandora's Tower would have been great as a Jan/Feb release to keep momentum.
These titles were wasted on a dead system losing users to HD boxes. But they actually could have been system movers on a new Nintendo box. The launch of a system is a great time to launch new IP's. Nintendo would have been praised for its launching of new IP's instead of the same-old same-old. Plus, their mature theme would have given cred to Nintendo wanting to re-attract the core.
