Forums - Gaming Discussion - I made a big mistake ( Videogame related)

My PS3 hardrive died, and I never did a single backup to the system.  I have a 2.5 years ps3 slim and a couple of days ago my ps3 froze while playing RE6 online.  When I turned it on, the system said that the hard drive was corrupted and was going to fix it but the PS3 froze while doing the process.  I tried the "restore file system" and the "Rebuild Dtabase" options in safe mode but it didn't work.  My last option was to format the ps3 but that didn't worked either.  I bought a 250 GB hardrive, and the PS3 is now working again.

R.I.P

All my save files.

If you want access to your saved files again, why don't you send your console to Sony to get fixed?

At least you have an excuse to play all your games again. Be positive.

Edit: Wrong thread ;(

Because is expensive, and I read a lot in the  internet that sony might not be able to save the files.

Demand to seel lifes manager and make him take back his lemons.

...or just see it as a opportunity to play all these games again

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Trust no one?  Are you The Smoking Man?

Every once in a while I back up my save files to a flash drive. In addition to that, PS+ has been beneficial a few times for restoring my saves. However I still managed to lose my Sly Cooper save. But I think I may have overwritten/deleted that one on accident.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
