people are seriously going with the wiiU? Well ok.

Explain why u think it wont

Why do you think it will?

There are so many reasons why... Bad advertisement, price, bad concept, none to zero 3rd party etc etc

tbh, I think it's too early to say which console is comming out on top in 2014. But how I see it now... No way it's going to be the WiiU.

The op says why I think it will, it has a price advantage and known system sellers on the way. Also its advertising will increase on the big games release. PS4/One share most of there games with PS360 so many wont upgrade and the exclusives we know about arent huge sellers. I see those consoles starting slow next year and not taking off until the holidays.

Precisely, but i think Xone will struggle even after holidays 2014.

We will see in 2014 ;) We still have a lot to go like gamescom.

Don't forget a lot of ps4/x1 games aren't on the WiiU. But on the other hand, they are also on ps3/360

Anyways, I stay with my opinion it's way to early to say.  But tbh, I'm not feeling it with the wiiU.

Wii U-is currently selling poorly but it has a strong line up of quality exclusives to finish the year which sgpuld build momentum going into next year and cause Q1 to be up YoY. After that im guessing we will see Mario Kart+price cut combo in April which will boost sales. Smash Bros in the summer and Zelda+Wii Sports for the holidays will ensure great sales throughout the year.

PS4-This console looks to improve upon many things PS3 got wrong at launch such as price, online, size, difficulty to develop for and I believe it will have a strong launch. It has a strong lineup but a large number of its games wilp also be available for One/PS3/360/WiiU/PC so there wont be a whole lot of incentive to buy PS4 to play those games. It has some good lookinh exclusives as well like Infamous and Killzone but those games arent huge sellers and games like Knack, The Order are unproven. Im sure we will see some more exclusives throughout the year and combined those titles will sell consoles. Another thing is PS3 is still getting strong support and will lokely be $200 next year so that could take away from from PS4. I see it having a reletively slow start next year and building momentum throughout the year and finish off 2014 very strong.

One-Will probably have a decent launch but I see sales dropping next year. Like with PS4, many of its games are available on multiple consoles and the exclusives it has arent known system sellers. Also at $500 its much more expensive than the competition. It seems to be banking alot on its TV features which are nice but I dont see it being huge at that price. They have also stolen some consumer trust with the DRM fiasco and sudden 180, ig will be interesting to see if they can regain that trust. Im willing to bet it will get a price cut to $400 sometime in the second half of the year and Halo for the holidays will give it a strong boost at the end of the year.

Wii U-10.7 milliln

PS4-8.8 million

One-6.5 million

I think there will be a substantial amount of people that will get both consoles. I will have them both at launch and I am sure many people will get them both within the first year. Jut my 2 cents. The ps4 and Xbox one will remain close sales wise most of this generation mark my words. They will be within 2 to 3 million of each other no matter who is on top. I think the days of a stand out console sales wise like the ps2 pr the original wii is long gone and should be. Critical competition is what is going to move this generation forward.

"I support the industry that's why I rock with all of the Big 3!"

Their should be a "I am too scared to make a prediction" option in that poll honestly

Anyway I chose Wii u. Mostly because of 3d mario, smash and mario kart coming all within a year from each other. Oh also Donkey kong. While the others are more slow burners as they share most of there games with three other platforms and are more expensive. So Nintendo got 2014.

Switch is 9th generation. Everyone else is playing on last gen systems! UPDATE: This is no longer true

If it can match PS4 price and have a Halo game I think it will do well in holiday 2014.

U think alot of people will own both a PS4 and One? I dont they will early on, thats way too much money for most people. Just the consoles alone would be close to $1000 with tax and then u have to include online fees, games, extra controllers. More likely people will buy one of them and get the other a few years later, not sure if thats what u meant. Or get a Wii U and either PS4/One since Wii U has a much different library compared to the other two, which are pretty similar.

@bolded is a point I often make as well. Even if WiiU is relegated to "second system status" for many people, it could work out very well for the console for that very reason.

I think the PS4 will start off very well, and lose moment. I don't see it capturing the community in 2014.

I think Xbox One will not start as well, but I think it will get better reviews and people will like the experience more. If they have a couple casual blockbusters along with the New Halo, I think they will do really, really well in 2014.

The WiiU will trickle along fine, but I don't see it gaining much dramatically in 2014.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.
