Forums - Sony Discussion - Prediction: Sony is going to Show PSVita V2 at Gamescom.

im seeing alot of people talking of clearence of vita memory cards and even the Vita in general and bestbuy and places.

here in the UK The Vita costs £229 yet you can but the new bundles with 10 games for £169 from Sony.. my guess is this a test of new price points and things. Sony know what the vitas problems are and ould try to fix them in 1 huge go.

what i want: A PSPGo Vita (in design) but still takes the cards. 120GB cards for around £65. smaller screen and thinner in general. its way to big

what do you think?

If that's what it takes to get it to pick up pace...

I can see them releasing one for half the price which doesnt play games as a controller, but nothing more than that.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I don't see a redesign coming yet. There's little wrong with the design as it is, just the price that is the problem. Bigger memory cards would be nice. I see a pricecut happening at Gamescom or shortly afterwards. Hopefully, make it sell for £150.

Prediction: Switch will sell better than Wii U Lifetime Sales by Jan 1st 2018

vita needs cheaper price and a micro-sd-slot. done.

What Coney said. If anything, they're pushing the Vita as more of a PS4 accessory in the west right now.

Bare-bones vitapad SKU incoming.

http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/profile/92109/nintendopie/ Nintendopie  Was obviously right and I was obviously wrong. I will forever be a lesser being than them. (6/16/13)

i don't know about GC in specific but we all know sony will do a redesign at some point. it's pretty par of the course for any console now-a-days.

A memory card of 120GB would be awesome tbh.
MC swapping is really fking annoying.

The only thing the Vita really needs is cheaper memory or like 32gb of internal storage with a micro sd slot (also hdmi out).

PlayStation Vita Japanese Software Sales (Media Create Physical/ Famitsu Digital)

The Vita needs a Go model because it's memory anemic. I can buy a 64 GB SD card for about half of what the 32 GB Vita cards go for, so Sony is insisting on four times the market value for memory.

You know, Nintendo might be "that toy company" in your market, but their digital sales have also exploded and account for large portions of software sold, allowing them to save on production and inventory costs. And it's because they don't do crap like charge four times the market value for memory.

So yeah. Vita with both a game slot and at least 32 GB built in, sold for maybe $270 Wifi/ $320 3G at most. An ergonomic slider design would be nice if it were better than what the PSP Go had, but basically the memory prices are choking the system to death, and Sony's going to have to float it with remote play.
