Every one of those games were awesome. I had to vote for Metroid though. I remember being more impressed with that game than I was the others.

That may be true but MSX system was a good competitor in 1987. It had Metal Gear, Penguin Adventure, Maze of Galious and more great games released. Sadly a few people even know what MSX is LOL.


I just found out about msx today actually.  I was checking out metal gear to see if it was any good.  That's when I heard the msx version is real deal.  Apparently its included in snake eater ps2.   I have to look into that.

The MSX was barely released in the US though.  Kojima is still mad because the botched NES port of Metal Gear (which he had nothing to do with) sold millions outside Japan and introduced most people in the West to his series.    The NES game was a very bad quick and dirty port done by a small team, but for some reason it was still was very popular.
