They copy 2 versions of monopolies and do it on an industry which is far more fickle which they don't have enough influence in.

That is the explanation for me. Also, it would be a good plan if had work,  but it sure did not.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Around the Network

1. DRM - A lot people have been attacking this practice simply because it has restricted the customers option for in exchange in security (piracy) and convenience.

2. Being a touchy subject, it was nothing but an excuse to cover up developers failures in making a game with all these high budgets; and later telling us that we're all at fault because their games weren't a success. Basically, they think they're like Hollywood and expect their AAA games to sell gangbusters like with big movies.

3. In this day of age where most people have internet, the core principle is that an electronic that we knew for the last 25-35 years should always stay offline (like it always has been).

4. Despite getting many great titles for (your) said country, there are many games that entice people that aren't released in their region. The reason they put region blocking on consoles is to prevent high import rates for a game that was launched first in another country so they that don't suffer from low sales when it's finally released in their country.

5. Have no opinion on it since it wasn't a problem (for gamers at least).

Basically, the masses knew/felt that the disadvantages far outweighed the advantages and that was a trade-off they're weren't going to go through unless they were fixed; which finally happened.
