Best place to start. I've modded Oblivion more than any other game, so if you need help, shoot me a PM. Btw, no matter how powerful your PC is, with a good deal of the mods, you can run into performance issues. But, as I said, any issues, shoot me a mssg.

Thank you.

Actually I don't know how powerful my computer is, but from the price I payed, I assumed it is very powerful.

GTX 670 (4 GB)

i7 @3.90 Ghz

8 GB RAM (5 GDDR)

The best or the most expensive motherboard I found, which I found later that it has a video card (included) I never used.

GDDR5 for system memory? I think you mean DDR3 since GDDR5 on a PC is used only in graphics cards

I checked again. You're right. I read 5 GDDR on the graphics card and thought we have to use the same for the system RAM.

That shows how I really don't know anything about this stuff.

Steam deals are irresistable. Otherwise I'll never think about playing on my PC.

The irony is, most of my modding with oblivion was done to improve performance, not graphics. - To run it on PC specs similar to the Original Xbox.

However, I would go:
1) Oblivion Character Overhaul
2) Better Cities
3) Unique Landscapes
4) Vibrant Weather
5) Immersive Interiors
6) Oblivion Graphics Extender
7) Improved Trees and Flora
8) Enhanced Water
9) 4096X4096 Border Regions LOD
10) Detailed Terrain
11) Oblivion Grass Overhaul
12) Qarls Texture Pack
12) Everything Viewable When Distant
13) BlackDragons Ultra HDR (If you don't use Oblivion Graphics Extender)

For other RPG's, look at Dragon Age: Origins (Mod that too!), Fable and Neverwinter Nights.

Downloaded most of them and didn't notice any difference ...?

Then you must be doing something wrong, it will be a night and day difference.

Downloaded them ==> Extracted the file ==> Located all the files and folders in one folder ==> Opened "Oblivion Mods Manager" ==> Clicked on Creat and chose that file ==> Checked the file to let it work

Any luck with the modding yet, Giggs?

I don't know. Now, the game looks good, not great but still good. I didn't play long enough before the mods. I'm not sure if it worked or not but I think it did.

I played more than 8 hours without any problems. I stopped playing only because I have a 10 days vacation.
