Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Xbox One To Release In Kinect-Less Bundle in 2014 - Rumor

There is less then 10% of the US population to which a drive less X1 would make sense so releasing a drive less version still wouldn't make much sense maybe five years from now when Google Fiber and similar internet services (super high speed no data cap) are more widely available a drive less system would make more sense but by then there will be a lot of used and cheap new  older X1 games on the market so a drive less system still wouldn't be very attractive to consumers because they could save more money buying used and cheap new games then buying them digitally even if the system would be a lot cheaper and on top of that five years from now there will also be a lot more cheaper Blu Ray movies that will be also a lot cheaper then buying a digital copy as a matter of fact I can buy a lot of used Blu ray movies cheaper right now then what they would cost to buy digitally at my local Cash America Pawn shop all Blu Ray movies are $5.99.  To really intice people to buy a drive less system not only would it have to be a lot cheaper there would need to be constant sales on games and XBox live gold would have to be like PSN+ is right now on the PS3 where you get a selection of free games every month.
