Forums - Microsoft Discussion - GameStop halted Xbox One pre-orders because demand was too high – Microsoft

Well pre-orders usually don't stop because demand is too low. Hope they can get a good amount of supply ready by launch. I fully expect both consoles to sell out, the only question is how much there is to sell out.

Any way you slice it though it looks like both Sony and MS have pretty good momentum right now as far as pre-orders go

Why is it written so vaguely, and in the past tense?
Makes it really sound like he's trying to refer to the gamestop preorder fiasco the day before xbox180.

Cant wait for people to come here and point out that Sony had more consoles available to pre order and this doesn't matter.

fixed

I don't see whats funny?

It's obvious Xbox One has gained momentum since the reversal of policies. Quite frankly Xbone has exclusives that appeal much more to the COD crowd especially Titanfall.

If consumers see the value in the Xbox One they will buy it at $499.

I think people need to realize that things have changed since E3. I'm also pretty sure that Aaaron is talking about US pre-orders. People are deluding themselves if they think Xbone won't sell well in the US.

Intel Core i7 3770K [3.5GHz]|MSI Big Bang Z77 Mpower|Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 2 x 4GB|MSI GeForce GTX 560 ti Twin Frozr 2|OCZ Vertex 4 128GB|Corsair HX750|Cooler Master CM 690II Advanced|

Maybe they stop because they knew that they couldn't keep up?  no Xbone for you little Jimmie.

Typical this tread is......*facepalm*

lol I love how Sony fans are dead convinced they won already. when most of the people buying consoles in the next decade haven't even looked at what is coming next November.
I'm sure all things considered sales will be way closer from each other at launch than people here currently expect, and the entire gen battle will be way tighter than last gen trailing fest we all witnessed.
All in all so far MS has achieved a serious victory, which is to challenge Sony's supremacy and they won't come back at the PS2 level any time soon.
