Good thread. I kinda like the idea of episodic games, but at the same time I don't. HL2 episodes does not appeal to me enough to buy it. One thing would be cool though, episodic games where you get a new chapter every other month, kinda like a tv show. Then you could make really long and good stories, and with such short intervals there would be no need to upgrade the engine that much. I wonder if a team could do a chapter in two months though... If they don't have to care about the engine, just the art and content, then maybe.
