For the games that I have played, Uncharted 3, Halo 4, DmC, and God of War have all set benchmarks.

It's a shame DmC isn't on the list.  I was truly blown away by what that game brought to the table in visuals.

Ok then we should list what techniques the games you gave us in the poll use and should get rid of every game which has framerate-issues.

Really, to judge technically we don't have enough knowledge of the tech used in the games. It will always be a mixture of "don't know the game", "don't like the game", don't like the system it's on", "looks impressive!" (which means nothing in tech-terms) and "I will vote for the most popular game".

The Last of Us, the visuals are absolutely amazing. I thought God of War 3 looked good, but TLOU knocks it out of the park.

I'm guessing winner will be 
1. Last of Us
2. Uncharted 3
3. Halo 4 (still can't get over how good it looks in MP)



All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d. 
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.

Technically it's Uncharted 3. The water animation in Uncharted 3 is the best yet. The water in the last of us was pretty mediocre (apart from the rain effects) yet scenery and character animation wise The last of us beats Uncharted 3.

When it comes to art design Journey wins.
