What argument?  That Monster Hunter might come back to Playstation eventually?  Uh, well, the basis of that line of thought is that it was on the PSP and sold extremely well.  So ... yeah.  But it's not even an argument, it's just speculation.  Why, does that bother you?  Because you're in for a really awful time on VGC, as people are speculation all over the damn place.  Seriously, though, what the fuck?  Hey, I've seen speculation that some third party games might come to the Wii U, go get 'em!

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

4.86mil = Monster Hunter Freedom 3
4.13mil = Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

then the next highest in japan (3rd of sales) is

1.90mil = Monster Hunter Tri

which is a port and wasn't a mainsteam game. MH4 will be very big with alot of MH fans switching frm psp to 3ds (minumum of 3mil - 3.5mil sales) will be buying, they aren't waiting for a game that isn't coming. A vita MH will do outstanding in hardware boost sales and make alot of fans happy but not 100% of them are gonna wait for something that might not even come. Nintendo knows that MH is probably the only thing comparable to Animal Crossing (2nd biggest franchise currently in japan) so they'll do watever it takes to hold capcom's huge franchise on their own platforms.

Not saying this to be rude, just saying it cuz its kinda true

There are things your not considering...

1. Its a port of a recent game made (also on WiiU)

2. Its the third highest MH game to sell in japan (even though the top 2 have over double sales)

3. The Install Base is a buge difference, look at the charts i made, as you can see PSP when the games came out had (8,556,895) and (15,663,814) respectively while 3DS's MH ( A PORT) had less than 3mil. 

Monster Hunter 4 will easily make the top 3 sales in japan and might have a shot to exceed pass the top 2 in sales.

hell no thats not, read my post above, you need to compare it. Thats like saying LoZ OoT 3D drop cuz it has a little over 3mil when the original had over 7mil

Also install base has to be accounted for, and no matter wat Ports are usally 99% lower sales than originals! You can compare MH4 when it comes out to the others. It wont be a port and the install base will be just under PSP
