Forums - Microsoft Discussion - So, LAST, BOTTOM, BEHIND EVERYONE - time to leave ?

Despite launching ahead of some other consoles this generation by 12 months or more,  the 360 is last of the wii, ps3, 360 generation.

They are not gaining any friends with the launch of the xbone so far.

Is it time for Microsoft to leave the console arena.

I have no idea why USA likes 360 compared to the rest of the world - does anyone ?

If Xbox 360 would have taken off in Japan the situation would be totally different.

  • Mislead "patriotism": Microsoft is an american company
  • Better value: American XBL  members have access to certain services that Microsft does not offer in other parts of the world. So US-americans really have more reasons to buy an Xbox than the rest of the world.

I mean look at this :  http://xboxonevspsfour.com/

Also Microsoft have a track record of paying third parties for exclusives, rather than compete on technology or benefits - even these poor tactics have failed them.

Others have steadily concentrated on a great variety of rich content across consistent quality games

I think its time for  Microsoft to move over and let another player in the console market, no one needs the bull in china shop methods of Microsoft.

Because it's fun as heck? I mean, Burger King isn't ahead of McDonald's but their still in business because they make money and people like them. There's room for three.

There was a time when the PS3 was last and cost Sony billions of dollars. Sony stock was at an all time low, their credit rating was dropping by the second, they had to sell their own building, etc. Was it time for them to leave?

This argument would've made more sense back in the PS2 era and it STILL would've been stupid.

How is going from 24m with the first Xbox to 78m with the 360 grounds for giving up? Hell, that argument for would be just as stupid for Sony after the PS3, which is on track to sell just above half as much as the PS2 did. That's still ~80m units.

I prefer Sony consoles, but I sure as shit don't want MS or Nintendo to fail and leave the floor to them. Lord knows how stupid they act when they feel safe.

Have some time to kill? Read my shitty games blog. http://www.pixlbit.com/blogs/586/gigantor21
