Would like them to show it off at E3 during a conference rather then through the Direct.

I don't want to wait a year to see it...

It probably isn't going to be out for some time anyways, so it wouldn't really matter when it gets revealed.

it will probably release late 2014 and it's pretty common for games getting announced 1/ 1 and a half year before release.

Iwata said they won't reveal their products so soon anymore cause of the fear of copycats.

I kind of prefer it this way anyway. The longer wait times some of these games have between reveal and actual release date is too much! ToT

Hmm

So early in development I'm assuming it will just be a teaser image a la Skyward Sword, but that's still pretty exciting.

it's in development since 2011. they almost showed it this E3.

And non-HD Skyward Sword took five years to make.  I'm not counting on anything until I see the game in front of me.

skyward sword took five years because htey decided to add wii motion plus when the game was far advanced. so it took an extra 2 years.

I just go and say my PC is a console and therefore 2007's Crysis 1/Warhead wins.

So the whole reason why we do not have a trailer for the new Zelda game is because of some Gamecube remake?!? -.-

Well I hope Wind Waker is the best remake ever.

I don't even care what their excuses are; all I know is that Zeldas come every five years or so, and they've admited that they're having a particularly hard time adjusting to HD development and that things in general are taking longer than usual.  So I have absolutely no reason to believe that this Zelda is going to be any different.  I can hope, but I'm not counting on it.

OoT > MM - 2 years

MM > TWW - 2 years (japan holiday 2002)

TWW > TP - 4 years (delayed one year for the Wii launch)

SS had a 5 years development not only for the addition of motion plus, but also the changed completly the art style. Plus, Wii was selling so much that time that they believe it wasn't necessary. This time they need for Holiday 2014.
