Well, the MMO thing is just speculation on my part, it's not confirmed. I just remember that they hinted at multiplayer with the reveal trailer. It might just be standard matchmaking multiplayer instead of an MMO. Even if it is like an MMO I don't think it'll be a traditional MMO, I think it'll be more like Destiny and The Division, but better than Destiny hopefully. No subscrion fee, smaller player counts on each world than traditional MMO's, less grinding than traditional MMO's, fully voiced unlike most traditional MMO's, the ability to play through most of the content solo.

I used to play MMO's like FFXI and WoW. So that would be nice that there would be no subscription fees. But still need Xbox Gold subscription if it ends up being a full MMO right? That's why I was hoping Scalebound would have Singleplayer too since I'll have to skip The Division too. It's not that I can't get XBG. I'm seriously really awful at PVP. Co-op I'm good with but not PVP.

Ya I'm very excited to see what Scale bound turns out to be exactly. Platinum makes some fantastic games, so I expect something awesome.

I do agree with Shika that MS could do with a great western RPG in their exclusive lineup. A Bioware game, any Bioware game lol, would be damn sweet. Don't know how likely that is though, outside of maybe a timed deal. Fable became more and more action adventure game from Fable 2 on, and now Legends obviously is a different beast all together. It looks fun and all to play with friends, and I look forward to trying it, but it isn't exactly what I envisioned the franchise becoming after Fable 1.

I think it would be cool if MS could buy Obsidian. They make some great games, and I don't think they're owned by any big publisher atm (right?). Maybe let them work on a Halo RPG

The Scalebound trailer hinted at co-op, not PvP. At the end of the trailer several other dragon riders appeared to help him fight the big enemy. Seemed like they were hinting at an MMO style raid to me. Of course it could have PvP as well co-op, but the PvP would probably be entirely optional, same as Destiny and The Division. Hard to say rather or not it you'll be able to play it offline and therefore without XBL Gold, it could be online only like Destiny and The Division, or it could have offline singleplayer and online co-op like Dragon Age: Inquisition.

If it came with a Singleplayer story awesome. I'd be all over that day one. If it ends up being a full time MMO with absolutely no offline play at all than I'll kick back and enjoy some gameplay videos of people having fun with it.

Btw you mentioned you liked TT games right? I read somewhere a couple days ago Minecraft story was coming out on PS but I thought MS owns it so it surprised me that they would let them have the game.

Ken says unnannounced games coming over the next few months before E3 0_o

Hopefully something good. Right now there's not much really enticing to me until Witcher 3. Maybe FF Type 0

Does he mean that unannounced games are releasing over the next few months, or that unannounced games are being announced over the next few months? If he's referring to releases it's probably indie exclusives, I doubt they'd spring any major exclusive releases that suddenly. If it's announcements that wouldn't be too surprising, afterall alot of uannounced 1st,2nd, and 3rd party exclusives are in development, they can't fit everything into an hour and a half E3. Makes since to get some of them out of the way before E3, at GDC in March for instance.

Unannounced games being released, some hird party exclusives. Let me listen to podcast again.

Yeah, MS is keeping Minecraft on all of the platforms it was previously on, at least for the time being. I guess since the Minecraft deal was so expensive ($2.5b) they decided that it would be better to keep it on all platforms to make as much money as possible, instead of making it exclusive to MS owned platforms in order to boost hardware sales. It also makes them look better, more consumer friendly, it would have been made them look dickish if they took Minecraft away from platforms it was already on.

Well that does make sense but I wonder why spend a whopping $2.5 billion just to continue making it multiplat. I have a feeling if Sony did that we wouldn't see anymore of it. That's why I was surprised. But I'm sure MS will still give some Xbox only love here and there even if it's just DLC.

Oh man, Ken Lobb talking about Perfect Dark mabe being stealth, like a female Splinter Cell.

*Wets self*

Keeping the single player campaign was a given, not having it would be strange imo. I don't see it as news.

I wouldn't care less if it was only the pvp arena multiplayer alone.

Ugh still don't want to announce the developer, starting to think it's because it's an internal studio making it and they don't want to reveal their new studios yet ...

What I found interesting is that he referred to it as a JRPG several times. Technically a western studio can make a JRPG, though some hardcore JRPG fans won't consider it to be an actual JRPG. Could the developer they chose for it be a Japanese dev? That would make it easier for Yukio Futatsugi to work with the dev team since he's in Japan. It'll be interesting to see who they chose. Hopefully we'll see a gameplay trailer that reveals the developer at either GDC in March or E3. It is curious that Yukio Futatsugi's studio, Grounding Inc., aren't the ones developing it. I wonder what they're working on? I really hope it's that JRPG sequel to Crimson Dragon that Yukio Futatsugi wants to make.

JRPG needs to be made by a Japan studio, imo!

At the very least Futatsugi needs to be in the project somehow.

We don't know what Grounding inc is doing atm, since Crimson Dragon they didn't have any project announced (besides some little phone games I believe). Which I find curious, He said in the past that he likes to work with Microsoft or Nintendo(but wasn't doing anything with Nintendo), I'm guessing he's doing something for XBO.
