State of Decay selling 700k was pretty surprising considering the game had no advertising. It got by completely on word of mouth.

I was surprised by the Last of Us and Heavy Rain.
I didnt think Heavy Rain would go over 1 Mil

Resistance 3 I thought would do at least the same number as part 2. Especially since it was reviewed well. I also thought Alan Wake would sell more than it did.

TLOU has been hugely surprising for me. A few months before launch I expected it to be in line with the average AA/AAA PS3 exclusive (2-3m), it was only until a week or 2 before launch I realised it'll be big, but even then I was still guessing 4-5m. Now it looks like it'l get Uncharted 2/3 numbers (6-7m) when it's all said and done. ND must easily be Sony's most profitable dev for this gen, probably for next as well.
