I don't think the PS4 will be any different it has build in wifi so I'm sure it will conect automactically every time you turn it on also.

Like PS3 there is a option for automatically connection... if you disable that you need to connect manually everytime.

You have choices

From what I understand the game will be not be ready for the retail launch... so they will give you some part of the game at retail and everything else through download but the retail version will not works without the downloaded part.

And I laughed hard in this part lol

"We’re not making a launch game. We’re making Forza 5, at launch."

How many games have patches in their first few days, weeks and months? Answer....About 95%

Stop making issues out of nothing.

Mandatory? You can play the game without the patch lol.

GT5 had day one patch but you don't need it to play the game offline... just the online part needs the patch.

GT5 needed a day one patch to play online. 135mb patch. It then received numerous patches to fix issues. It wasn't finished, it wasnt ready.

People didn't make a big deal about this because many games get day one patches.

You are being disingenuous in your pursuit of trying to put the game down.  It's so boring.

I can ever play GT5 without downloading at all... the comparision is silly.

Now you are buying a $60 disc that didn't works without downloded patchs.

Lol. Yes mandatory if you want a game to work properly. Lol

lol and er...

lol

lol Forza 5 can't run without patch... it is mandatory to play even offline.

GT5 works without any patch lol.

Try again.

To put that in little words...

Forza 5's disc is a $60 voucher to download the game from the Live lol

And if you didn't do the second patch the first patch for online wouldn't work, and if you didn't do the 3rd patch you wouldn't have damage, and if you don't do the next patch you'd be missing a ton of feature press, and so on and so on.

The game wasn't even close to finished.

It received 6 patches in the first 3 months. They were CLEARlY working on these features prior to launch but wanted the game out. In these patches there were also bug fixes.

Compare a GT5 that hasn't been patched with one that has. It will be a buggy, non online game with a load of features not there.

Why did you bring GT5 into this?

Lol.

Ohhhh god.

- The first patch enable the online... you can play the full game offline without any patch.
- The second patch just makes the online better.
- The third patch add the damage option to Arcade races (every other place in the game already have damage from day one)

Again the offline game is full playable without any patch.

Now compare with... I CAN'T PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT INSTALL THE PATCH.

You bring GT5 into this lol

Aww how cute. Did you steal that from your cathedral (gaf) ?

it was advertised as a connected game. The fact that they have now patched it to allow a one of connection is fine.

just give it a rest.

Go to gaf and try to found anything like what I wrote... I'm better than you

Kinda shitty that its mandatory for people to even just play the game.

Oh well. Forza is easily the most impressive One launch title. Will do well.

Now read through the thread... Find the first mention of GT5.

Forza was INTENDED as a game that required an online connection. You don't seem to be getting this at all do you.  The patch is to allow the game to work Offline.

And you are lying about GT, the second patch was required otherwise the online didn't work for many people.

You cant be rational or objective where gt and forza are concerned.

My GT5 comments was a edit after your comment about GT5... my first comment had only the first line... but well nevermind.

That's not what the guy said... he said the cause is the "production schedule"... the game won't be ready for the retail launch... there nothing to do with required online connection BECAUSE Forza 5 never INTENDED to be a online only game... the devs said you can play it offline since the fist reveal.

Not lying lol... I played the online after the first patch... the second patch just increased the numbers of online slots to over 1 million.

Rational? My comments is not a opinion... it's facts (the patches, GT5 works offline from day one, GT5 damage works from day one, Forza 5 was reveled to works without cloud since ever, etc)... the only opinion part is that I think laughable the "disc-voucher" solution lol
