Breaking: Britain Passes Same-Sex Marriage Bill — Will Become Law
The British House of Commons just completed passage of a same-sex marriage bill, after the House of Lords completed their passage of the bill yesterday. The two bill have now been joined into one and the Queen will sign the bill into law at some point, likely later this week, in what is called being given “Royal Assent.”
Same-sex weddings will be available some time next summer, according to British law. The bill extends marriage to same-sex couples in England and Wales.
