Pikmin 3 shall save the world!
So the Game sold quite a few units, but the amount it boosted sales is about in line with DQX. I don't think we can call it a "system seller" just yet.
I believe in honesty, civility, generosity, practicality, and impartiality.

Oh noes, a nintendo circle doesnt want me around because i dont worship nintendo! its a forum buddy, i will post wherever i have post access :)
I guess using common sense is only permitted when it supports your delusion, "omg pikmin will outsell call of dutys entire multi platform franchise!" is what you want to hear, "how about we wait for solid numbers before baking the celebratory cake" on the other hand, however sensible, doesnt gel with your personal requirements.
20-22k is kinda of a mediocre bump for hardware considering this might be Nintendo's third biggest release of the year and was in development for 3 years. The Vita got a 30k+ bump from Toikuden.
The software sales are better though 90-100k is solid for a console userbase that isn't even at 1 million yet. That said, it's probably going to be the lowest selling Pikmin game in the series and the most expensive one in terms of development cost.
The GameCube model of having a small userbase but selling primarily Nintendo franchises may not work out so well when the HD games cost so much more to develop.
Nintendo mentioned it would take 700k for a Wii U Fire Emblem to profit, so I'm guessing they need 1+ million to make a profit on Pikmin 3.
I feel bad for Platinum Games though. Wonderful 101 will probably do about half of Pikmin 3 as it's a new IP without a fanbase. There's just not enough Wii U's out there to drive sales of games like 101 and even Pikmin 3 sadly. Nintendo Land and NSMBU really failed in terms of moving hardware. Nintendo in general let down the Pikmin and W101 teams IMO ... these games are going to suffer now as a result of bad planning on the management's part.

Id say Nintendo Land and NSMBU did there job, which was to sell consoles at launch. Its kinda unrealistic to expect those two games to sell consoles on there own about 8 months after launch. Game delays are hurting Wii U, had Pikmin 3, W101, Rayman, Wii Fit U been released in the first half of the year as originally planned then sales would be much better.
When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

The tsutaya charts tend to be more or less correct on placement and you were going on about how it's probably shit wrong.
I am not the delusional one, I never said anything close to "Pikmin will outsell call of duty." I never even said that Pikmin 3 was going to be a million seller.
However, YOU went to the pikmin FW thread and said it would only sell 27k. If anyone's delusional here, it's you.

Honestly, that doesn't make much sense. You do not have to create an outlier to counter another outlier. This isn't a thread about averaging, this is a thread about your honest opinion on how much it will sell FW.
