Because they were seemingly just told that they'll have to pay twice as much as necessary, just because Microsoft forces them to buy a depth sensor most of them find completely useless for games.

lol On another note. I see how you and everyone else here ignored the games bit. So typical. |
How did anything he say sound 'authoritative or serious' ? "I can see" would most commonly be translated as "In my opinion". It's a forum, we're sharing our opinions. I don't think is unreasonable at all.
Calm down, we get it. You're a Microsoft guy. As for the 'games', it's an unconfirmed, off the cusp type comment something you take with a grain of salt. The Xbox One announced more games at their press conference (And won on a pure games perspective, albeit marginally) I think most rational people would agree with. (Then again, they have one platform because they essentially have abandoned the 360 versus three for Sony). Everyone knows that the PS4 will bring the games, period. Three generations prove as much and the PS3 was the biggest disaster initially Sony ever could have released.
The real argument is, Microsoft hasn't produced many viable games since 2010, Sony is releasing potentially two AAA games (This year). If there is one console that provides entertainment value for a majority of it's lifetime that's been a Sony console. Hopefully Microsoft can start obtaining new quality IPs and not moneyhatting timed exclusives.

You take this website far, far too seriously.
There was nothing to say about the games. One Sony dev said Microsoft "won". Wahoo, congrats Microsoft, this is just the positivity you need.
We get it, kow. Its okay. Dont panic. People will buy the One.

A dev would be one guy. Sony reps would be more than one guy. Its not that hard.
hmm yeah well when I said essential for Kinect 2 with XB1, it was more for menu navigation.... from what I have seen joypad navigation will be vastly less practical than using Kinect.... just the switch between apps or the snapping look like it will be completely impractical with the pad....
but yeah apparently more and more 3rd party dev seem to be interested in Kinect possibilities and look like they are willing to integrate some Kinect features in their game....
but beside games I think a kinectless SKU will not happen this gen.... dashboard navigation looks clearly Kinect oriented and if it's like the current Kinect in better... it will be definitely faster and more practical for that than the pad.... that's already what I use Kinect for today, because it is more convenient and usually faster to navigate the dashboard with it than the pad....

Actually, to be honest... I actually enjoyed Kinect with Mass Effect 3, granted that wasn't using gestures and such, just voice commands, but if Microsoft wants to get serious about Console RTS gaming, that's where it's at, voice commands with the Kinect. (Along the lines of End War with the headset.)
Plus, I've always thought Kinect would suit a game like Black and White almost perfectly, where your hand is the games cursor/controlling thingy, alas I highly doubt we will see it happen anytime soon, so in my opinion it's a pretty big oppurtinity missed.
For the majority of games though, I'm not interested in Kinect, not even for navigation of menu's.

The 600$ PS3 was the biggest bargain.
