Well, it seems the Xbox One has recently sold out on Amazon.  However, it wasn't enough to push it over the launch edition of the PS4, which still rests comfortably at #3 for the Best Sellers of 2013 (So Far).  The Xbox One was able to end up at #6.  Of course, what's quite impressive with the PS4's position is that on Amazon, the PS4 was split up amongst several SKUs, while the Xbox One only had 1 SKU.  Some of the PS4's other SKUs have broken the Top 100, as well.  The BF4 bundle currently sits at #92 (#91, now).  The Watch Dog bundle sits at #77 (#68, now).  And while the Standard Edition currently sits at #66 (#40, now), it is still available, so it will most likely be heading up the list quite quickly.

Many may remember that in late June, a Gamestop memo was leaked that stated that Sony basically told them to open the flood gates for preorders.  Even with a seemingly endless supply, the PS4 has already sold out of every one of its SKUs on the Gamestop website.  On the flip side, Gamestop was warning stores to not take more preorders than they were alotted for the Xbox One, due to limited supply.  It seems that even with this limited supply, Gamestop has still not sold out of Xbox One's online.  I think it's pretty safe to assume, the PS4 is going to greatly outpace the Xbox One in Gamestop sales.

On a related topic, if one were to look at Amazon UK, the PS4 is also #3 for Best Sellers for the year.  The Xbox One, on the other hand, is only at #44.  I think it's safe to say that the PS4 is going to enjoy a very good launch in the US and the UK, two Xbox strongholds of last gen.  I think Sony is about to take back the US and the UK.  What say you?

I say: good things come to those who plant the right seed. Sony has done a great job with exclusives and psn plus on the ps3, and with the overall design of the ps4, so it is only natural that gamers flock towards such a cool product.
Congratulations.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Yeah I think launch sales will certainly favor PS4, although that may be mainly due to supply issues with Xbox One. I think that supply issue will hurt it though. The console that sells the most will get the most word of mouth through internet articles, social media and of course real life conversations. Here's hoping Sony takes advantage of Microsofts supply constraints and PS4 not only has a successful launch but a successful first year.

Don't rest on your laurels, appease the hardcore, be transparent, and compete with yourself first and foremost. This will make the PlayStation4 a winning choice.

I do think supply will play a part right after launch.  However, it doesn't seem to be playing that big of one, yet.  I mean the PS4 launch bundle was sold out within a day or two on Amazon, while the Xbox One just sold out this past Wednesday.  Even with limited supply, the Xbox One is still available at Gamestop, while the PS4 (which according to the memo has much greater supply) is already sold out online.  I think MS has hurt themselves more than they, and their fans, will admit.  Plus, the $100 difference doesn't help.

i think M$ will try to change or add more benefits as much as possible for XBO deal to fight back this, and it will only be good news for all loyal XB fans

I dunno... there may be many people waiting until the holidays to make a purchase, or at least until launch to see actual reviews and facts about the upcoming generation. Also stock limits may greatly affect this initially as well.

or it couldve been the cheaper price and rabid reaction to drm?

This was obviously going to happen, the reason the 360 did so well in north America was it's price

nothing more
