Forums - Gaming Discussion - If you could exchange some series in the big 3, would you?

Swop Time!

This is just a simple, fun thread that asks you to switch up some of the series between the big 3. The rules are simple. You can't just take a series away from a publisher, you must exchange it for one of the others series. For example, you can't simply take Halo and give it to Nintendo unless you give Microsoft Mario. (or some other Nintendo IP)

So...if you could move some series around, would you? You can swop whatever you please or leave everything as is. Please explain your choice(s) though with a short (or long) explanation.

Mine: (Reasoning: I think both switched series would be better off this way. They both get ignored where they are, and both have potential but the publishers don't know what to do with it.)

Nintendo gets Banjo-Kazooie

Microsoft gets Star Fox

Sony stays the same

Banjo would probably remained absent no matter what company they went to. Rare lost the most important people in the company which is why you was seeing problems with rare. That wouldnt have changed even if they went to Nintendo. The only thing that would be different is maybe Nintendo gave Banjo to Retro or something.

I firmly believe that Rare is working on Banjo 3 right now though. Just a gut feeling.

On topic though: I like things the way they are. I dont care what platform every game is on as long as they all turn out well.

Nintendo flies for bankruptcy and Sony gets all of them.

Even if Rare wasn't the one making the game, I'm sure Nintendo would do something with the series. I agree, Retro would likely be the new developer. I switched Banjo & Star Fox just because I think they'd be more successful and get more games when switched.

Obviously you didn't read my post.

Forza to Playstation and Gran Turismo to Xbox

I'm really going to miss Forza next gen

Nintendo gets Twisted Metal. Project Cars seems like a decent GT / Forza replacement so I won't request GT.

Nintendo gets Banjo-Kazooie: Because that's where it belongs!

Microsoft gets Hogan's Alley: Because it'd feel right at home with all of the other shooters.

Nintendo gets Little Big Planet: Because it would fit well on a Nintendo console and Nintendo could make it control worth a damn.

Sony gets Urban Champion: Because this was clearly a Nintendo biased post to begin with. :P

I'll do mine a little different....

Nintendo
-Metroid to Microsoft's 343 industries
-Star Fox to Sony's Naughty Dog

Sony
-Ratchet and Clank to Nintendo's Tokyo Software Development Group No. 1
-Syphon Filter to Microsoft's 343 industries

Microsoft
-Banjo Kazooie to Nintendo's Tokyo Software Development Group No. 2
-Black & White to Sony's Media Molecule

NOooo you woman, why would you do this :/

Anyways:

God of War to Nintendo, Legend of Zelda to Sony Santa Monica. I'd really love the take of each studio on the licenses.

Playstation All-Stars to Nintendo, Dillon's Rolling Western to Sony (Can't have Superbot destroying SSB :P). Nintendo should show them how to create a good mascot-based fighting game.

God of War to Aonuma's Zelda team so he can finally work on something else (lol).

Killer Instinct to Nintendo/Retro Studios.

Zelda to Sony/Naughty Dog.

LittleBigPlanet to EAD

Metroid to 343. Why not.

I don't get Banjo Kazooie to Nintendo. We have enough platformers already and even though I loved the first game back in the day I don't think the characters or the universe or the story were particularly well crafted. The gameplay was really good and I think Nintendo could easily make a 3d platformer collectathlon with a better IP on top of it (that is not Mario) if they wanted to.

If I could switch something I would give up exclusivity for Bayonetta 2 and have Dark Souls 2 also coming to Wii U instead.

I really can't think of a first party IP swap that would make sense for me as a Nintendo gamer.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.
