Your faith is messed up. I believe that if you have such doubts and sick ideas you shouldn't repeatedly post them on the internet and make your brothers in faith look like idiots. You're offending us and you give a twisted impression to non-believers.

Either stop bearing the name christian or change your ways. Seek counceling.

How am I offending anyone? Just asking questions.

Please do not ask me to seek counceling just for asking questions.

You're not asking questions.

You make ridiculous claims about christians in "we" form. "We" believe in a murderer, "we" believe in a selfish god, "we" believe in a god who deceives mankind with the Devil.

"I am Satan, the one stands below God the judge. I see you have chosen to retaliate, just as that man did. Then prepare, Seraph, to receive God's eternal punishment of damnation!"

hehehe

Why don't you make like a tree and get out of here?

This could be the first documented case of multiple personality disorder. It makes so much sense now. Satan is Gods scapegoat.

Because the god many believe in is those things. Thats the reason I dont believe in the god from the bible. It is as if we are supposed to be scared of him, not to mention much of his stuff has been so manipulated that it astounds me people can say that is their faith (one of many contradictions is that it is wrong to be gay but you are supposed to accept everybody, but some proceed to not accept gays at all.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

First off, God created man, who he knew was going to be evil.

God murdered, and committed genocide on an entire planet.

He is a terrorist. Caused the 12 some odd plagues of Egypt.

Instead of enforcing the death penalty on the first Murderer in history, he just banished him to become the father of non-Isrealites.

He asked a father to kill his own son.

According to what's written in the old testament if taken literally. In fact, if you take the text literally, God appears to be fairly pagan. That's why it's not meant to be taken so. The ones who do are generally certain Conservative fundamentalists and very obscure Jewish sects. In my religion, the old testament is not taken literally, and we've known this since before my religion existed, for over 2000 years in fact we have known the old testament to be largely allegorical. Much of the old testament was written by scribes in Ptolemaic Egypt during the reign of Ptolemy II in the 3rd century BC.

Is Satan just a persona that he made up so that we had something worse to Hate and fear than God himself?

The greatest trick God ever did, was make the world think that the Devil was real.

Satan is the adversary of men in the old testament. He believes that humans are not worthy of God.

In the new testament he is the temptor of Jesus in the synoptics, and associated with the Dragon thrown out of heaven in the book of Revelation which is 100% allegory for the fall of the Jews between the first and second Jewish wars.

God, according to Christianity, is associated primarily with creation and love; these are not attributes of Satan is ever associated with. So no, Satan is not God.

Am I right? I mean...We are putting our faith, money, and time into someone who is one of the Greatest murderers of all time!

A God Who taught us to not be tolerant to other people, to hate same sex marriage, to start wars over nothing.

You're referring to a section in Leviticus in the Law/Torah. This is the same line of argument taken by the Pharisees of the Gospels in regards to people who break the Sabbath. So I already have a good answer to this in two points used to argue against this:

The laws were created for the benefit of people, people weren't created for the benefit of the laws.
The second of the two primary commandments is "Love thy neighbour"

These two principals are why same sex marriage is alright according to my religion, those who condemn their neighbours for it are not.

As for war, the Gospel preaches peace all throughout it. Either you misunderstand my religion, or the religion you are attempting to criticize is not my religion at all.

This is who you follow Religious people. Why do you still do it?

I am a part of my religion because it is my culture's way of devoting one's self to love, forgiveness, and the pursuit of wisdom. The more I take part in my religion, the more my mind dwells on these things.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

I am not even a Christian but I know enough to know this guy has never opened a Bible in their life.

To those asking of Satan. Before God created man, he created the angels along with other things in heaven. One of those angels(the most beautiful) lead a rebellion against God in an attempt to take Heaven for himself. He failed and he and his followers were banished to the bottom less pit we know as hell.
I think most people cannot comprehend what it is like to be an all powerful being living forever.
My honest opinion is that we do have a creator and he understood us better than we do and knew that a simple yes or no choice of only 1 God is not something we would do as a people. That is why almost all religions are the same at their core. Love, respect, etc. Different paths to the same goal and we decide which one is best for us. I think God lives through us. We were created to live life and experience things from a point of view that he couldn't. Children are amazed at so many things but look at fireworks. He created us to experience things in ways he couldn't. He also left guidelines for us to follow the right path so that we get to see him when we go on to the next area. I think when we die we become energy. Positive or negative depending on how we lived our lives. Its that positive(good) or negative(evil) that determines which way we go. God is positive energy so he only interacts with positive humans. Eh now I am just rambling. I love discussing all the possibilities of creation.

Such a pity. And interesting, philosophically, conversation about the root of evil, completely butchered by the first post.

@Spurgeonryan, Actually its been established that 40 days of rain and 40 days of night would not flood every inch of the Earth. More and more scholars and scientist studying it believe that what flooded was just a small but populated area of the planet. Not sure if billions were killed as we are only now at 7 billion and that took a good amount of sanitation and health care advancements to get to that point.

The strangest thing about Christianity to me is, if God isn't real in some way how did they correctly predict how the world began thousands of years ago when it took us actually going up into space looking around, doing research etc to find an answer people knew long ago. We believe that everything started with a big bang and that is how the Bible explains it. Not in those words exactly but close. It also said the earth was void and without form. we know planets formed from the left overs of the big bang over millions of years. Man coming from dust we know is true as we are all made of star dust. Nothing heavier than Iron exist naturally in nature. Anything with a higher atomic weight was forged in the heat of a Star. We know from finding gold on this planet that at least this area was once part of a bigger star.
