Do not link the two together. Thats a cheap trick. This is geopolitical in nature...and this is getting rather out of hand.

Besides all that you still have not provided any other counter to my arguments, I really want to know why all of this okay for you, and I can understand giving up freedom for security.

Because, to be as simple as possible, I want to play games like Halo, even if it means that my average and legal lifestyle isn't private. Our phones and internet have been tapped for years. So really, how much control do you really have by boycotting a video game console? Apple is also in colaboration with the NSA you know.

Yeah i know that about Apple and i dont touch their products, but i get it you are willing to sacrifice some of your freedoms for games and you know what? im cool with that and I get it.
But with the internet and phones that is also very wrong i think what im getting at with my dissagreement with you that you shouldn't spy on millions of people to stop a few criminals or terrorists.

If you are defending these corporations who are violating your rights, your loyalty is probably a little bit too high.

It's not a company thing, its a government thing.

If you believe that Sony or any other major company isn't doing the same things (again, required by government, not the company. Government is violating the rights, not the companies) then your loyalty is probably a little bit too high.

If you can provide proof that sony is doing the same thing then please do otherwise dont make accusations without proof it just shows your bias and discredits your arguments, also just because these are orders from the government doesnt mean its okay for them to follow them.

You don't touch Apple, but hundreds of millions do.Your last line is fair enough. It really depends on ones stance of "the greater good". Its controversial forusre, it depends on idealism, whether you have been personally affected by terrorism, etc. Its clearly complicated.

Glad we came to a understanding.

Oh... Because you have proof that Microsoft is "working" on their own with NSA? I mean other than rumors on the internet of course...
Sony needs to follow government rules like any other company on the US soil, not sure why you would doubt that.

While this thread should be about what governments are doing (NSA); it is just being used by a lot of people for another reason to flame another Microsoft versus Sony debate. Sad.

Ok i never brought Sony into this Debate at all, and other then @endimion's post (which i have no idea where he was going with his post) there was no mention of Sony and the Playstation, @Nightsurge brought this whole flamebait of Sony vs. MS into a thread that OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT about that, and you have not helped the situation.
This thread was to show the "Evidence" of MS working with NSA an yes there are other companies that are working with the NSA such as Apple and Google, but the main Difference between Sony and all those Companys is that all of those comapanys are based in the US and Sony isn't (different set of rules) and also the fact that there is "NO EVIDENCE" to support this claim and as soon as you find it i will be right by your side fighting Sony on this matter, but until then Do not bring Sony into this Discussion when you you have no evidence to back your claims and when this thread was to Shed light on MS policies.

Who gives a shit? How about people who actually care about their 4th amendment rights?

lol... Dude just breath out, seriously :)
Stop bolding/underlining your words like that, it makes your replies very annoying to read (and sounds or looks very aggressive actually). (and please becareful if you plan to reply and imply that people are not intelligent enough to understand your points. They simply disgree with you or have a different oppinion).

Now, If you really believe that a company as big as Sony (America) is not required to follow the gouvernment rules on US soil and you need evidence or proof to believe it; then I do not see how we can even have a conversation about the topic. I'm genualy happy for you if in your mind Sony is all white, nice and not evil like Microsoft is (or any big US companies if I read you well)!

Enjoy your weekend; in the mean time I'm going to buy my second Surface RT for my wife from this big evil company (-150$ woot).

No. Its about video games. I will not let something like this impact my want to play X1 video games.

Fair enough but it's not just this. There are so many other issues with Microsoft that staying loyal to their Xbox brand puzzles me. How bad does it have to get for you to change your mind? I mean even the most loyal of fans have a breaking point. What's yours? What will it take for you to say "Fuck it. Halo isn't that good. I'll buy a PS4 or Wii U instead"?
