Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hideo Kojima "Depressed" by Grand Theft Auto V

Has anyone wondered what it takes to be a perfectionist? Depression. Chronic Depression. Is this a reason we never get to see Kojima smiling at all? None the less, MGS has always rocked.

Hideo Kojima has revealed he's depressed by the quality of Grand Theft Auto V, as he doesn't think Metal Gear Solid V will be able to measure up to it.

Taking to his Twitter, the legendary game designer expressed his admiration for Rockstar and said the studio's upcoming game would raise the bar for all other developers.

The old HK modesty with respect to an unreleased title.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

At least he can make the longest cutscenes.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

It depresses me too, just not for the same reason.

Apples and oranges.

You got it.

I'm depressed by the fact he's depressed. God forbid he starts adding elements from GTA to MGS >.< Get that sandbox shit out of my games.

Metal gear solid V look just like red dead redemption so it sure will sale plus kojima makes the best movies in the industry he doesn't have to be sad

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

What a modest man.

Totally different games. And seriously, an open-world kind of game is 50 times better than one that mandates that you stay within a small confined location.

Play GTA5 if you want schwag and ghetto fabulousness, play MGS5 if you want a badass stealth game.....
