rayman is a 92 meta on the Wii. 88 meta on the vita, 87 meta on the 360 and 86 meta on the ps3.

since DK and NSMB are Wii games, it would be the logical thing to do to take the Wii score


92 with 13 critics for the wii

87 with the most reviews for the game (all above 50reviews).  Though you can make an argument for the Vita since it has similar amount of reviews.  None the less it is 1 point and can be argued on which one is the best.  For me it is between DKC and Rayman.  I believe Mario and Sonic has kind of went down hill even though mario appeals to more gamers than any of the others.  It is just too easy if you ask me.


i wont give my personal opinion about them just yet, i still have to play them (btw got a wii!!) but im starting off with super mario galaxy 2. so maybe ill bump this thread when i am done with all 3 (planning on playing them all)

A close one between Rayman and DKC but I think I like Rayman a little more. And Super Mario Bros is last place by alot.

Sonic & Knuckles + Super Mario World are my joint fave platformers of all time.

However, overall i have enjoyed more Sonic games than i have Mario ones (these two are in a different league to the rest when on song IMO).

Before people say theres been no good Sonic games in the past 15-20 years, i suggest you go play Sonic Advance 1,2&3, Sonic Rush & the 2D levels on Sonic Generations (HD twins version, not the 3DS one)

+1 for Sonic.

All good series in their own way but I have to give my opinion as best to Donkey Kong.

As far as 2D Platformers go, Sonic & Knuckles (even moreso Sonic 3 + Knuckles) is my favorite of all time! Truly an incredible game.

However, the greatness of 2D Mario cannot be overstated. Super Mario World is my favorite of the bunch, and his latest entry (New Super Mario Bros. U) can stand among the greats in the entire series. Fantastic stuff.

And of course the Donkey Kong Country series is out of this world as well. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country Returns are my two favorites in that series. Always tough, but always fair. Much respect, and can't wait for Tropical Freeze.

And for Rayman, my first game was Rayman Advance on the GBA. Really fun game, and I've been a fan ever sense. Rayman Origins was a lot of fun (and a sight to behold), and I can't wait for Rayman Legends. I play the Challenge App every morning (and currently at Awesomeness Level 5! )

For me, these four are the kings of platforming, and I love 'em all. As a platformer fan, I think it's amazing that we'll see all four this holiday season on one console. I can't wait!

i hadn't played any dk untill returns and i'm in love with it , i was a sega kid so i love the old sonics but dkcr it's just awesome
