This is incorrect. It's only six months that you can use the online account deactivation.

If you deactivate and reactivate it from the console, you can do this as many times as you want in any amount of time. Simple go into your account management, and then video or games, then deactivate this console.

Thanks, I'll let him know.
But I seriously doubt he knows how to do it.

He could. Online. It takes a long-ass time to download full blu-ray games. For many it could take up to a day. |
I guess I have a pretty good internet speed, as it has never really taken anything near that long. But I can always put it in the cue, and do something else. It can continue download with the power is off. It if takes more than 10 minutes annoyed.
But I think they only added the download while off feature after the 2011 dashboard update.

Well I think Microsoft said you could play the game without downloading the data again by accessing the game through the cloud, so I thought Sony would do something similar. I didn't realize Sony was way behind Microsoft on this feature.

you also have to download it on your friends console but to play the first part of the game you only have to download the first part of the game and while you play it downloads the rest in the backround. if the internet is fast enough it downloads the next levels faster as you play the game so you will only have to wait before you start the game. if it's not fast enough it could happen that you reach a level and then the console says "please wait until the next part is downloaded" or something like that. |
Ohh right. Thanks for the explanation. :) I guess it won't be that great of a feature if the game is 10GB or more.

Microsoft didn't say such things. Sony are the ones offering this kind of service through Gaikai.
PLaying a game entirely through the Cloud can only be achieved via streaming a video of it running on the Cloud servers. The XBO isn't any different. It won't let you play a game if it's not installed first. Unless MS also has a service similar to Gaikai down the line.

I don't think I've seen that comfirmed anywhere. The closest thing I've heard to that is the Xbox One would allow people to play games as the game is installing- but that was when the Xbox One had all the DRM on it and had mandatory game installs. I haven't heard anything about playing a game as it's downloading- but if the PS3 can already do it- I'm guessing the Xbox could also.
