I know internet loves an exciting story and conspiracies, and this is a neat idea...but dude...I work for the biggest cable provider in Canada and their advertising department. If this on any table, I'd be posting about it long time ago.

It's like you're ignoring that MS has locked up a shit ton of streaming media. Sooner or later, the xb1 WILL be its own cable tv provider, and they will control all the advertising.

I'm sorry but that's just nonsence. Microsoft has absolutely no desires to become a cable TV provider. They do not own any content nor do they attempt to aquire relevant content. Without actual content ownership they can't become a cable company.
All they are offering with the Xbox One is IP/cable based content delivery platform which other companies can utilize to deliver their television programming.
In the advertising industry there is no talk about Kinect advertising APIs, there is no talk about dynamic video advertising insertion using Kinect, there is absolutely no talk about advertising on the Xbox One right now. Period!
Current hot topic in video advertising is VAST 3.0 ad standard which was finalized last year and major platforms like Google DFP are about to start supporting it.
