Forums - Sony Discussion - What do you think of the ps4 launch lineup?

So?

Excellent 43 32.33%

Average 64 48.12%

Bad 21 15.79%

Terrible 5 3.76%

Total:133

I'm getting Killzone and Knack, and since I have PS+ I'll get the free version of Driveclub, depending on whether or not I like it, I'll buy that game as well.

Overall a nice-lineup when you consider Warframe and Planetside 2.

They got FPS, TPS, racer, platformer, and open world, seems pretty balanced to me and they still have more to reveal.

If there was an option between average and excellent I would go with that.

Incredible FPS? Check
Fun looking Platformer? Check
Awesome Racing game? Check
plethora of multiplatform games? Check

Still more games to come...?

Furthermore, Sony has already confirmed that at GamesCom 2013 they will announce over 25 PS4 exclusives (these include PS4 Project from Naughty Dog (Uncharted Team), Guerilla Team 2 (New IP), Team Ico, Sony Japan's PS4 game, and a bunch of their other teams many of which are switching to two game teams this generation thanks to the ease of developing PS4 games vs PS3. ) and most of them will be AAA titles and not just indie games.

CHECK!

Edit - Forgot to add that tons of F2P games will be coming! CHECK-MATE MOTHER DUCKER!

It's a good launch lineup as far as diversity and 3rd party support but none of the 1st party games interest me at all - in fact, none even announced so far do, save perhaps for The Order that at least has me wanting to see more. The only game I'd get at launch would be Watch Dogs, and I'm buying that for WiiU.

Not even Infamous: Second Son?

I think it looks nice visually but I just didn't really care for the first two games that much. They weren't bad or anything, it's just that a new Infamous isn't going to get me excited. That could always change, though.

Honestly I don't put much stock in the launch lineups of consoles these days, as it's pretty much a given that 90% of launch titles are either inter-generational ports of multiplatform titles, or destined for the bargain bin just a few months after launch.

For example, how many folks on here are still playing any of the PS360 launch titles? Better yet, when was the last time you actually played a 360 title circa 2005 or PS3 title circa 2006?

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

Nothing that makes me want a PS4 yet. I've made the mistake of buying hardware for hardware before. A deep disappointment sinks in after a while if there is nothing you want to play on it. I need killer exclusives as I'm primarily a PC gamer.

Didn't vote because I don't think it's either excellent nor average. It's good, much better than usual launch line-ups. Though many titles are multi-gen.
