I owned and played Yellow for Gen. 1 but i played Red and Blue both that belonged to my brothers.
I played Silver, Gold, and Crystal with Totodile as my starter all 3.
I played Ruby and Sapphire both but majority of time was spent in Emerald. This Gen was the first one where i obtained a wild shiny pokemon (Tentacool) with the exception of Red Gyrados in Gen. 2.
Played both Fire Red and Leaf Green Gen. 1 remakes and played Heart Gold Gen. 2 remake.
I played Diamond exclusively with Gen. 4 and selected Piplup and played it enough to consider it a complete playthrough (no full pokedex completion though)
I played Black exclusively and started Black 2 but i stopped at the 3rd Gym Leader and havent played it since.
Going to get a 3ds and Pokemon X/Y in the Fall even with having become bored with Black 1 and 2 i have hopes that it is different enough to keep my lattention especially with the battle system looking as fun as it does.

Played Gen 1, 3, and 4.
got bored of gen 1 half way through and quit
finished gen 3, love that game
was loving gen 4 but I lost my save file and never restarted it.

and yes I will most certainly be getting X/Y :D

Played 1-6 and still one of my all time favorite franchises. Can't wait for gen 7

Favorties is Gen 2,3,and 5.

1 for nostalgia reasons.  2, 3, and 6 is too tough for me to decide though I would prob say story for B/W and the over all world and pokemon 2 and 3.  4 is the only gen i didnt care for.  

On a proper console, I've played Gen 1 and Gen 2. I've played Gen 3 and 4 on an emulator. I actually started playing Pokémon Black, but it was really boring. I bought a 3DS today because of Pokémon Y. I might get Pokémon Black 2 to tide me over. It's certainly way more interesting to play it on a 3DS than on a computer.

I've played all of the generations of Pokemon up until Black. My favorite game out of them was Ruby. I haven't found any of them past that to be enjoyable anymore, so I think i'm done with the series honestly. It's too much of more of the same to me.

To be a true Pokemon Fan you've had to play every generation. And I'm a true Pokemon Fan. Connect the dots.

And yes, I'll be getting Pokemon Male and Pokemon Female.

you played all gens, and you might stop at X/Y O.o .... It will be much better than gen 4 and 5! At least give this gen a try . Its going to be awesome.

I played gen 1-3 until I stopped gaming on portable platforms. No I don't plan on getting the new pokemon.

I've only played IVth Gen, and I loved it. I don't know if I'll get it.

how do you play gen IV only and love it but no more O.o
