Majority will agree : 1>>>3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>2
Haven't played Jak and the lost Frontier, anyone played it? Is it like 1 or 2? If it 2 or neither then it not a jak game... >_>

Um.... Much of it is air based combat. There is some platforming and shooting, but I wouldn't prioritise it. It wasn't even made by Naughty Dog

Breaking News: I just bought the collection on vita!! 40 minutes left till it's ready.

Did you really buy it because of this thread? XD

You'll enjoy the first one for sure.

Yep I did. lol :-p

So far the first is great.  It's pretty addicting.  The more I play the more I kinda want naughty dog to do a new open world Jak game on the ps4.  Could you imagine how awesome it would look?!?

I was disappointed at the big change from J&D to J2, but I still liked J2 and 3 a lot. But yes, I would have loved a trilogy that was based on evolving J&D gameplay but keeping faith with its more pure platforming essence.

Update

After a lot of feedback from you guys I've decided to play from the perspective that I'm playing a completely different genre of games.

I just attack all the side mission on the map and the main objectives. I'm not wasting my time searching for precursor orbs though.

I'm avoiding confrontation with patrol and I'm not using vehicles (when possible). The lack of checkpoints are really not that bad (yet) but racing missions still drive me up the wall.

I think I can get through this.

Loved the original, hated the sequel. Similar fate happened to Sly series for me. Both victims of open world buzz of the era.
