Jak and Daxter 97 42.73%

Jak 2 36 15.86%

Jak 3 39 17.18%

Never played any. 55 24.23%

I haven't played any but i'm going to get the HD collection on Vita to try them out. But I hope Sly HD collection comes over to Vita. Thieves in time is pretty fun.

I agree. After the stellar first, I could not get into the second.
After a poetic explorative platformer with jak & daxter the second is just a boring shooter for me.

You are on my to die list -_-

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I like jak 2 but at the same time the game is so frustrating I could throw my vita out the window.

I wouldn't call it a bad game, but it is definitely my least favourite game of the series, I only finished it because I wanted to see the story and refused to admit that I couldn't beat the game. But overall I agree with you, the vehicle handling is terrible, enemy patrols are a huge pain in the butt, if you accidentally hit them during a timed mission then you're pretty much fucked, and there are these long missions where if you die you'll have to start all the way from beginning.

Still, if you do have time I'd suggest you to give Jak 3 a try, it fixed almost all the problems that I had with Jak 2, the vehicle control is much better and the missions are quite interesting imo, it's actually my favourite game of the series even after the bad time I had with the second one.

Is Jak 3 more like the first one or is it just a playable version of 2?

I really want to finish Jak 2 before I move on but it's just too painful.

it is the same style as 2 (open world & guns), but I like it alot, in some way it strikes me like GTA meets Disney in a desert setting, and  the cars are actually cars, not broken ass hovering bikes that would explode and kill you the moment you hit something.

As for Jak 2 it gets worse as you progress, there are some good cutscenes and solid platforming sections, but if you're already struggling then the lack of checkpoints in some of the later missions would drive you insane, maybe you should consider give youtube a try.

Well .... in my view the first is the best, but the sequels are still great games. The first had its own feel and a unique personality. The others reminded me of R&C and while good, didn't resonate with me as much, but they (in this case the second game) are far from horrid in my view.

Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS

agreed.

bought the collection. loved 1. about half way through 2 and hating every minute of it. the lack of checkpoints is infuriating. the poorly done shooter mechanics is infuriating. the constant back and forth driving between missions is infuriating.

the actual gameplay is overall good but it's buried under a mountain of crap.

Oh thank god I thought I was the only one that hated it... I really loved the first game and I even got the platinum. I went to the second game thinking I would have the same enjoyable experience but all I got was a boring game . I did about 2 missions and left the game... I'm not even sure if i can beat it... Each time I put it I feel like sleeping rather than playing it. I feel like they have lost direction with the sequel and it really ruined the franchise for me... I hope 3 is better...

"I've Underestimated the Horse Power from Mario Kart 8, I'll Never Doubt the WiiU's Engine Again"

I don't think it's terrible, but it is inferior to The Precursor Legacy, which is one of the best PS2 games and one of the best platformers I've played.

I respect Naughty Dog for trying something new, but I think the old formula worked better.

For those who like 1 the best, try Daxter for PSP. It has more in common with The Precursor Legacy game than either 2 or 3.

There is a significant change from jak1(jump'n'run with act.adventure elements) to jak2(actionadventure with open world elements and few jumpnrun elements-it remindes me more of beyond good and evil then jak 1
they even changed the look and style
but if you give the game a chance and than it gets really interessting as long as you can deal with the few checkpoints.
