Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wait, it's actually called Super Smash Bros. For 3DS/Wii U!? <(o_O<)

I thought it was just a place holder until they came up with an actual name for the game, but from what I recently heard, it seems that will truely be what the games are called. It's just a name so who really cares as it wont stop anyone from buying the game, certainly not me, but what kind of name is that!? After Melee, and Brawl, you'd expect something along those lines, not just the system name thrown in at the tail end, with an awkward "for" in the middle. The latter is what get's to me most, as there's really no reason for it to be there. Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS would have been fine, though still boring and generic. They've done this before with Mario Kart, so why add the "for?" They could have atleast made it the number 4, since this is the fourth game in the series, but nope, has to be word which I don't think I've ever seen in a title before.

So what do you guys think of it? Be sure to vote in the poll above! ^_^

I really don't care about the name

Super Smash Bros. for WiiU/3DS -> Super Smash Bros. 4

You wont be saying that when someone ask you what game you're playing!

Who cares?

You dont play the name.

I hope so, but it seems too elaborate to just be a working title, what with the main logo shown in the OP splitting into two different ones for each version of the game during the trailer, with red flames for 3DS and blue for Wii U.

Nintendo are doing that a lot at the moment, taking old game names and just adding a U to them... It likely makes customers think it is the same game they have for the Wii but now on the Wii U so won't be helping them either. Nintendo have really dropped the ball so far with the Wii U... I hope they manage to pick it back up and get into the game for the new consoles coming as competition drives innovation!!

No different than Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart DS.
