Forums - Gaming Discussion - PS PLUS - RUNS OUT - STILL PLAY GAMES? Question

Okay, i know how PS Plus works and all that Jazz but i was just wandering.

If say you had a game you wanted to finish but your PS Plus ran out in like 2 days,

Could you simply disconnect from the internet and change the date to a week ago so your ps3 thinks you now have a week untill your subscription ends still?

Or would it still know?

Just something i wandered about?

No your PSN info is stored in Sony's servers.

I don't believe this will work :p

Exactly. There's this "inner clock" whenever you're connected to the server. You just can't cheat like that.

So there's a clock where the ps3 always knows the right date which you can't mess with ?

What will happen to ps+ in the next years with PS3? I mean at some time the support for PS3 will fade so new games that get added will also fade out or it will only get old and/or crappy games but if you quit ps+ your games will also disappear. I think at some point it won't be worth the money but you have to pay to keep the games.
Are there any details how Sony will solve this?

When you are connected, yes. And you need to be connected to make use of Plus.

I guess it could work, but the second you would sign into PSN again, they would be gone.

*forever offline*
