I agree.

Here I go with a complicated prediction.

The PS4 will overtake the Wii U during the Christmas 2014 season as it becomes the superior standalone console. The Wii U will overtake the PS4 again some time between 2017 and 2019 as the Gen 8 consoles hit midlife and the Wii U demonstrates itself to be a superior support/ secondary console.

Heck, PS4 has probably outsold WiiU already

Now you are just being unrealistic.

Never. The current macroeconomic environment won't let it. By the time PS4 and XBone releases, Nintendo would've lowered their price and their momentum will be in high gear. This momentum will not stop in 2014. It will continue throughout the systems alleged planned lifespan of about 6 years.

Not only will it never pass it but it will be Sony lowest selling console to date. The problem with PS4 is that its not something the mainstream audience is going to want to deal with. Having extra hidden charges to access any form of online and designing it to look like a Wii upgrade ( my opinion but anyone who looks at the PS4 standing up against a Wii and claims they look nothing a like has some serious blinders on. is going to really hurt them.

I don't care how many Sony fans (mods or not. Yeah you know who are Mr even suggesting Nintendo beat E3 is extreme trolling with no basis.) don't agree with me. It's as valid a point as any other being put fourth. It's going to be the Vita all over again when consumers see they have to pay an extra 50( or whatever it costs) each year just to access the internet in any way.

I wish I could find it again but one guy named Movie Bob brought up some valid points that Sony's first two wins were just flukes created by a vacuum in the market. I agree because since then they have lost all focus and seem intent on emulating their competitors rather than do their own things.

It won't outsell the Wii U? Do you think the Wii U will sell a ton of units because the Wii was such a success? The PS4 will at least sell 50 million lifetime. The Gamecube sold 20 million units, and the Wii sold 100 million units. People seem to think Nintendo just gained like 60+ million fans all of a sudden. Nintendo caught the casual market then, they're not catching them this gen. They benefited from a low price with the Wii, not so much ths gen. So I see the Wii U selling 35 million max in it's lifetime.

I don't expect PS4 (well, and especially not X1) to do very well at launch. Somewhat better "success-wise" than Vita, but not far beyond that until a couple of years later.

If it does surpass it eventually it will be shortly before or after the beginning of the following generation.

to be honest, i wonder how many people are going to run out to buy the new console (ps4 and x1) because alot of people are still buying the ps3/xbox360. and again we will see confusion with the xbox one name, maybe not with you or me but the average consumers. 'PS4' should be fine when it comes to the name of it. this generation, i see all 3 big consoles selling less than there last generation conterparts.

I suspect early 2015. Nintendo consoles by default have strong holiday seasons, and the PS4 will likely have a slow start in early 2014.

Love and tolerate.
