ususally, MK wins but this is a special occasion because of all the hype with SSBB and little so far with MK wii so this may be an exception. Go SSBB!

Terms of the Bet:
Within 1 year Mario Kart will be ahead of Smash Bros Brawl (when aligning the one whole year from each region)
2 week ban from VGChartz to the loser

But honestly...I have yet to see any polish from Mario Kart...any sign that the game will WOW me. It kinda looks like a GC game to be honest, but that's off the few screens and videos we've been given, and I'm sure it's not the final build.

But SSBB is EPIC. It is nearly perfect. It is being hyped like no other game...I do honestly believe this game is getting talked about more than the Halos even. And it could appeal to the expanded audience a little...the game is "complicated" for people that don't know much about videogames...but with the Wiimote only controls...there's not much to learn...just use the D-pad and mash the 1 and 2 buttons...it can't get much easier.

I'm basically saying that the hype and perfection of SSBB + the possible flaws of MKWii might keep MK from selling more.

The huge casual audience will LIKELY push MK past it...but we'll see.


 Last time Mario Kart sold more than SSBM. This time it'll be the same because the new MK will be using a steering wheel attracting more people to purchase it.

 

But again we'll see

 i thought MK was. but yeah ssbb will have a stronger start b/c the release date has been delayed and delayed leaving ppl. anxios to get SS while Mario Kart hasn't got an official release date...

and wii fit once it comes out woot woot

 OriGin, what are you doing?  Sounds like you just signed up for some 'EPIC FAIL'.  

Yes, MKWii will win lifetime, but this is Brawl... It's not going down without a fight.

Brawl has more hype, more hardcore = greater upfront sales.  Also SSB is one of those rare hardcore franchises that reach casuals as well resulting in incredible legs.

MKWii will have some hardcore, and massive casuals, but casual games sell based on crazy legs and not as much upfront.  It will overtake SSBB, but I doubt very much it can do it in a year.  More like 2.

I think brawl will outsell it, and every other source says that melee outsold double dash.

and this time around.. brawl has tons of hype.
