I kind of agree with your analysis of the system, although I kind of disagree in terms of the H&S. I mean I am from UK and they seem to have slightly more vigorous systems in place to ensure that the standards are followed than maybe in US. But US is a prime example of capitalism at its finest/worst, you decide. I personally don't like the capitalist system any more than you do, but at the end of the day - that's what people are doing so you might as well adapt the best you could to get the best you want.
Greed is the basic human emotion that everyone feels, therefore systems like this will always exist, if you want some sort of utopia maybe where everyone cares about each other and ensures that the need of human beings come first, it might be better to join an Amish community or something (Srs face here), because even the supposed socialism didn't work, millions still died as a result of the system's lack of care and it won't get any better even if the supposed communism does take effect, millions will die for the need of few, just like in capitalism.

There is no optimal system or society, it will always be like this. Adapt. As someone has pointed out before be grateful that you were born in a country that allows you to do what you want rather than in a country which constricts you and prevents your development.

It does construct your development through high school though. You're led to believe 'greatest country in the world' as if that's an actual thing and the moment you point to different reasons and facts for why that's untrue it's blah blah blah depression and blah blah blah greatest country. Every country tells itself it's the greatest. What they're really say is they believe they're better than all foreigners.

Also, how is capitalism good or even workable? There is literally an economic crash every 20 years. They call it 'downturn' but people who pay attention know what it really means. If Bush Sr. hadn't raised taxes, our economy would have tanked in the late 80s - early 90s. So really, how the hell is capitalism workable anymore?

Since the 30s depression, there hasn't been any depressions, only temporary recessions. It is proven that Capitalism is flawed, but the best working system we got over others tried in the past. There's communism, if you like that then go to China or Cuba. Im sure you'll fare much better in those areas.....lol you speak spanish/chinese? ;)

Give a action plan beyond complaining. You don't like capitalism.....what you gonna do about it? You gonna move out of the country? Protest? Activism? Terrorism (lol)?

No, actually, this so-called recession would be much worse if not for the social policies we have in place. Do the math, drone.

That is a terrible response. Didn't address anything I said. Jay520 is only proving further how your own mindset is your worst enemy.

Change your outlook and find something positive to work toward. You are not those historic figures. It is like someone dropping out of college because Steve Jobs did it back in the day. I can tell you are not among those figures. Therefore your sentiment rings hollow.

So success and failure of a person is what defines whether they espouse fact or fiction? What a nice - i.e. pathetic - ad hominem that you've made for yourself to filter out the facts you don't like hearing.

Your changing the subject. You are clearly ignoring what me and Jay are telling you, and have exposed your negative/flawed thinking.

Why bother, you just want to complain, with no plan to do better and blame everybody and everything but yourself.

The below video describes you, and hope you learn something from it.

Right, so, I'm just suppose to be psychotically happy because you say so and ignore all the facts. That's nice. What an ignoramus you are. I find it laughable that you're even using some stupid scripted video to make a point. You're such a tool. xD

OP, first off, you need to get more educated about politics. It's painful reading your political statemens.
I don't mean to offend you, I think it would help you to know what's up in the world.

Usually, capitalism works if it is regulated, so it doesn't go overboard.
Usually, socialism works if it is applied in moderation. Liberalism is the same. What causes genocide is not an ideology in it self (unless it's some kid of death cult), but extremists of any ideology.
 Capitalism
Liberalism (Americans tend to get this one wrong. Trusting in the state's ability to solve problems is a feature of socialism, but it is lumped together with liberalism in america for some reason. Probably because liberals there tend to be social-liberal)
 Socialism
 Conservatism

Read up on these things a little. It can only help.

Secondly. You should do everything you can to try to do something you like. Aim for the stars. Even if you fail, you might like where you land.

Maybe you should move to a different country if you feel stuck where you are?

I LOVE ICELAND!

tl;dr

When the moderation notice has more words than the actual post, you know it's a spam post!

You are not going to change the world, nor will human nature change.. Deal with it really.

I understand the sense of despair and nihilistic view but I PERSONALLY found a very confortable place within a more existentialist approach. I am the one that gives meaning to stuff, I wont have my life dictated by entities such as religion, the government or society. I take great pleasure in exercising critical thinking and indulging in academic activities as well as playing video games.

I live for knowledge and to do the things I enjoy, I see having a job as just a means to have the money(going to university this year) to be able to do the things that I am truly passionate about. I want to have money to be able to play my video games, to be able to buy a good book or movie. I want money to be able to travel once in a while. I want to experience the most amazing storylines human creation has to offer, I want to seek as much knowledge as possible, I love subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, maths, philosofy and psychology, I will dwelve into computer science as my university degree.

Although I despise humanity in general, I find solace in a more egotistical approach, I will live my life for myself and for the ones that I care about. Dont be delusional about trying to change what is fundamentally unchangeable. I will do so while not falling under the same category as those I truly despise, I despise obliviousness, ignorance, greed and everything else you mentioned in some of your posts.

If you are not willing to do something in order to be able to do what you love then what the fuck you have no right to complain...

Be optomistic, or you make a negative self-fulfilled prophecy.

You don't seem to like where you are. Complaining won't work. So I guess your moving to China? Cuba? Russia?

I would also like to add that there is no "Formula" for life.. Nobody is going to tell you how to be happy and feel fullfilled. That's something you have to find on your own..

Dedicate yourself to the things you love, that would be my best advice.

That's essentially what I said, in no way did I specify that capitalism is the greatest system in the world, but it seems to be the most tried one. Communism is not much better, although it might be on paper it will a)never will work in real life b) will succeed the test of time in practice.

Although, the theory is that the collapse of capitalism will result in eventual communism system(I think, I haven't actually read about it in a long tme). It's not a better system, and capitalism at least allows some sort of control and personal development for the individuals rather than attempting to keep the entire organism developing as a whole. If you want something better, you can achieve it rather be constricted by the system, but one of the key things( I think) is that you need to throw your morality out of the window if you really want to hit the goldmine, but can still live a decent life just by attaining education and finding a decent job
